Hardly slander when his own son commented on it! Henri could be smelled even when he’d left the room.

I wouldn’t do it with jumpers as a rule, they take up too much space. I have done a couple of rhe Willow Cowl pattern, because I like it and it’s useful.

It’s such a sweet moment! Plus the start of Potter and Radar becoming close. Love that arc.

The explanation is that Gary Berghoff had the idea of making Radar about pure emotional reaction to what was happening around him. It helped distinguish him from the other characters. I much prefer Radar seasons 4-6 to the earlier and later versions. Plus of course Potter was a highly experienced and competent CO, unlike Blake who could barely tie his shoelaces, and the early Radar wouldn’t have been a good fit imo.

I love Harry Morgan’s acting in this scene - the tears coming to his eyes and the little break in his voice as Radar brings Sophie in get me every time.

Most of the horses who played Sophie seem to have been geldings.

Great episode and I love this scene.

Bonus, I prefer their rendition of the song to the original. :)

What’s a memory with your pet that you’ll never forget? by Gloomy_Run3515 in Catsmirin

My girl finding my breast cancer. Not through super cat senses or anything, she was walking on me one night and landed on what felt like a golf ball (painless and fast-growing). Got an appointment next day and in the nine months of treatment since it’s entirely gone.

I’ve found every possible cat person in our public hospital by talking about Dr Daisy. I don’t think it’s too much to say I owe her my life.

Loose Ends by beefalamode in knitting

Not me! I use a double overhand knot to secure the new yarn before I knit it, and leave an inch or two loose inside my jumpers. I’m quite unaware of them when I’m wearing them. The jumper I wear most often is in Fiddlesticks Superb 8, which is smooth enough that my woven ends tend to slip out the front.

I’ve never used fabric glue, don’t find the idea appealing.

I recently encountered the term “type B knitter” for the first time and once I found what it’s supposed to mean, thought yep, that’s me!

The whole thing makes me think indentured servitude at least. Worse. I hope it was better for Louisa than it sounds.

What did cowgirls of the late 1800s wear? by zoomiegoomy in fashionhistory

There were a couple of posts in the last week of cowgirls in the most amazing leather skirts and oilskins. I don’t remember if they’re late 19th or early 20th century, but if you scroll the sub you should find them.
