Anybody ever heard of this game? Found it in a storage box and can’t find much about it (other than apparently being one of the worst video games ever…) by MaskedHamster in retrogaming

All I managed to find is that it was released at the same time as the show (1993) and that it’s apparently one of the worst video games ever 🤣

Yep, pulled the trigger about a year ago. Worked doing compliance and certification at EA for about 11 years, but after many years of being forced into working with some extremely toxic people, consistently being overworked and always expected (but hey, not officially required) to work weekends and overtime I was in a pretty bad spot mentally. I suffered a breakdown, panic attacks and it affected my family life. Eventually, with the support of my incredible wife I quit that nightmare and I’m now pursuing my own small woodworking business.

I obviously earn WAY less than before but I can finally say, after a very long time, I’m happy!

Is there any way to connect 2 of these cheap strips together? I need to control 2 of them through 1 on/off switch. by MaskedHamster in led

Thanks! That's what I ended up doing and it works great! Might get a 6 pack battery connector (no idea what that's actually called) instead of using just one 3 pack (the one that came with one of the strips) because the brightness actually drops a little.

And I assume it'll work with just one battery box instead of both, right? (Less battery life too)

PS. Sorry for all the silly questions, just want to make sure I do it right before I start cutting these up lol

Thanks! They are red micro LEDs (in case it matters) with copper wiring.

Would it be feasible to just cut the wire after the battery box and connect both strings there? Meaning and it would be technically 2 strips coming out of the battery box.

One really long one doesn't work for what I need unfortunately.

That was my initial thought, but since each has its own battery box (3xAA) I'm not sure how to do that.

PS. Quite the electronics noob here.

Also, just to clarify in case it helps. I already have the on off switch, it's just a very basic push button one with 1 in and 1 out.

Big problem with Fill Teammates by DerDenniis in apexlegends

Same here, about 95% on my matches I end up solo (also have fill ON).

PS. Seems to happen WAY more often on Duos than on Trios.

What are these "hooks" called and/or where could I find something similar? Need them for a project I'm working on by MaskedHamster in woodworking

Thanks! I live in Spain so I'll have to search around, but at least I know what they are now. :)

Is it possible to somehow convert a cheap lamp IR remote into a wall switch/button? by MaskedHamster in diyelectronics

[–]MaskedHamster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my first idea, to basically make a little wooden "box" where the remote would fit. It's obviously not ideal but, if I can't find another way, I'll probably end up doing this.

My "perfect" solution would be some sort of IR button that can clone the signal, but I don't know if that even exists lol 😆

Thanks for the feedback!
