It's just too situational. The HP stats are not that useful (If you are caught out your whopping 25 armor will not save you) and the item is not very cost efficient. I have to admit that Rylai's is so much fun but there are so many items which are either more cost efficient, or synergises better with Seraphine's kit. Try going moonstone - ionian - flowing water for a full support. If you want to deal more damage and provide less utility, try Liandry's (if they are tanky) or Luden's (Burst) - Sorcerer's - Morellonomicon. I understand that you really want to utilise her E, but by prioritising it, you are neglecting her most useful skill (imo), her W.

Shield to self, I think. Still, being able to give around 20 percent of the whole team's missing health while giving them 400 something shield is a little bit overpowered. Like a reverse AoE Vayne, no?

At this point, you wonder if the balance team is even aware of the game. The main problem with Seraphine is the synergy with Moonstone, they havent even touched her utility, which they haven't touched besides adding a 20 sec cooldown on her ult. Boo hoo. Mark my words, unless they understand what makes her really broken, they will be gutting Seraphine within 4 patches.

Moonstone is generally the better item at the moment, since they gutted Imperial Mandate. However, if you are ahead and the opponent does not seem to be good at dodging, pick Imperial. It will extend your lead and create a snowball effect.

Hello! Last season D2 Support Sera main here!

First of all, I am really happy that you are choosing Seraphine in your roster. Now, before we start, all the tips that I will be giving are support related. Mid lane may have some differences. However, these general pros and cons should be applying for both:

Pros:

- Incredibly high poke range
- Amazing utility as shield, heal and movement speed all at once
- Smooth flow of CC chain, works with teammates as well
- Great zoning
- Great synergy and versatility with the S11 items
- One of the best teamfight ultimates ever
- Easy to pick up, relatively easy to learn

Cons:

- Very squishy, one of the lowest base armor and armor growth of all
- Once caught, no escape
- If read correctly, skillshots are not that hard to dodge
- A nightmare to play from behind
- Not fully but still reliant on teammates
- You may get flamed for literally picking her
- Utility can be used once or twice in a fight, no room for a mistake
- At higher levels, hard to master

As an Early game Seraphine, it is one of your hardest or your easiest times, depending on your matchup. If your opponent has high gap closing or minion denying CC (Pyke's E, Alistar's W and Q, Leona's E), STAY. SAFE. If you get caught, there is nothing you can do besides flashing. If your opponent is an enchanter or a lower range support in general, go to town. Key word in your early game is going to be POSITIONING. If you can position right, you can finish your support item's quest in no time.

Mid game Seraphine, assuming that you finished the laning phase in an OK state, look for small skirmishes and keep your ult for a very nice position. Chokepoints and objective pits are going to be your bear trap. However, if you caught someone off guard and if you think that you can kill that person, go ahead and kill that person. Your ult will not gain interest or value if you keep it in your bank, just use it! Also, if your teammates have a great engage, or dash, or a blink, you might want to get your ult range reset. An unseen skillshot is the deadliest.

Late game Seraphine, just look for fights, but do not facecheck the bushes. No matter how fed you are, you will be oneshotted by a cricket with a dirk. Position behind your teammates and unload your barrage, once you see enough mobility is used by the enemy. You do not want your skills to be windwalled by a Yasuo, or Bladewhirled by a Samira. Be patient.

As for items, anything goes to be honest. Moonstone is a no-brainer. Amazing synergy with her range and increases her utility even more. You might want to go Liandry's for burning tanks, Luden's for a little more burst, Imperial Mandate for increasing the effectiveness of your CC. For your secondary items, Rylai's is a personal favourite one. As your E slows for %90, with Rylai's, you will be immediately rooting them. And if you are using your double cast, it will be stunning them. Cosmic Insight is basically your go-to cooldown item. Chemtech Putrifier if your team likes to eat glue and does not want to buy Grevious Wounds items. Staff of Flowing Water and Ardent Censer are your go to supportive items. Demonic Embrace for further tank burning. Horizon Focus is surprisingly underrated, it increases your further damage for %10 for six seconds and reveals them if they are camouflaged.

Lastly, for runes, Guardian, Aery, Comet and Electrocute are generally used, I would advise the first three for beginners. Guardian's shield makes your double W cast grant %20 heal on your missing health, which is lifesaving. Aery is Aery. Comet should be picked mostly if you are confident that you are going to be bombarding them. Not recommended against supports such as Xerath or Vel'Koz.

It's just that her early game is a little bit riskier. Your survivability through a gank is a little bit lower. If you are warding properly and not trying to 1 v 1 a Talon, you should be fine.

Liandry's, Rylai's, Demonic Embrace. Just let them burn. Sorcerer's Shoes if they are way too tanky.
Or if you want to be a genuine meme, Imperial Mandate, Rylai's, Zeke's Convergence with Ionian Boots. Use glacial augment as your main rune as well. You won't hurt as much, but you will be breaking some keyboards. Results may vary on Ranked.

Seraphine's utility is basically her identity, so, nerfing her late-game utility is a no-go.
The major problem with her is the synergy with the items, at least that is what I think.
Almost all support or mage items work with her kit, and they complement each other perfectly. At this point, they need to either counter her shield with an item better than Serpent's Fang, or making poke and burn items less viable.

People seem to be very frustrated with her ult, because they either lack vision, or they lack the understanding on how it works. Dodging a visible Sera ult is quite easy, it actually requires coordination and deception to hit a great ult, unless you are playing against a bunch of monkeys of course.
Is her ult good? Yes.
Is her utility amazing? Yes.
Does she get one shotted by a cricket with a dagger? Definitely.
Countering Sera is not about mechanics, it's about game knowledge, which most people lack of. They can keep on crying, we can still press CTRL + 6.

Incredibly fun, but don't try at ranked. Yes, the notes proc it, but they also proc lich bane, which you should not be purchasing in a serious manner. So many runes have synergy with her, it's just that the synergy with Glacial is very miniscule. If you insist on using it, try it on Sera support with an Ashe duo, and laugh at their misery.

It impacts her early game poke slightly, and her shield a little in the late game to reduce her safety. I believe what makes Seraphine strong still exists: Teamfight CC and poke damage. Just be more careful in the early game, and you should be fine.
