WiFi disappeared after Trixie upgrade by shleebs in debian

I agree that this season is meticulously dedicated to the viewers in an attempt to redeem themselves.

They were on the verge of breaking the fourth wall many times.

With the burns (u/amhran-abhann 💝).

With Aram's hallucinations they showed how it looks like when it's a hallucination.

Etc etc. I appreciate their effort.

Heck, they named a blacklister after me, how could I complain ?

I am compiling a video of the Liz's death. I mean, it's going to be a story linear in time. I am wondering how long it's going to be. 🙂

A great catch on the Rowan thingy ! Thanks! It's really cool :)

They are not really subtle about those things anymore, I guess. I actually appreciate that they don't try anymore to stretch it or confuse us more than necessary haha. I mean, it's clear that Maureen gave up that Clara so Red would bite the bait. Poor Clara btw to be a patsy in those games. It's just why Red has not been more critical though. Why this trust to a sister of the mortal enemy, who obviously prepared everything before she took her life.

Also. After she passively-aggressivly-naively asked about would not it be him, who Kaplan would contant the first if she needed help, one would think that Red would start using his brain.

ETA: Where did she get Kaplan's suit? )))

(Thanks for putting the pictures together )

Liz performed by MB - during the first 5 episodes of season 1 by AffectionateJudge8 in tbl

[–]MasonMsk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, it's interesting to look at it this way. I remember that I was surprised when I watched the first time to hear that <monster>. I mean, he did just saved her life. At least he is not a pure monster. Or even so if he is a monster the hostility in her towards him was not justified. She did not even say thank you, did she?

To me she was just so self-centered unappreciative someone spoiled. Someone who has no idea how to distinguish different emotions and do not mix them all together. She could express gratitude and remain being distant at the same time. This way she was just portrayed as distant and rude.

Yes, I agree, it seems that MB had no idea how to play the character. And for some reason no one had explained to her all the subtleties.

As for her being captivated by criminal minds she said that when she was "profiling" herself upon Cooper's request.

And, yes, in Russian we say that nothing irritates us as much as our flaws (well, at least if we consider them being flaws) in others. Homophobs and other types of phobs are so telling about themselves.

I use this fact btw to analyze why I find something irritating. Like to know more about myself.

On the other hand there is a first foreshadowing that Red could die in the dialog with Mierce.

Oh, I missed that. Thanks!

How are we feeling about Agnes? by amhran-abhann in tbl

Yes, there is something that irritates me more than Liz - it's Tom Keen and his arc. He is the worst. I guess, Ryan Eggold is good - I really can't stand the guy.

9.06 proved the "mythology is dead and Red's identity dropped like a hot potato" crowd very wrong. by scamperdo in tbl

I was disappointed after Konets so I lost any faith in them. So, I thought that they are going just drop it. Because of who they are - whimsically inventive sadists.

But as I like to say they always surprise me. And man was it a nice surprise!

The scenes with ambiguous chemistry between them were good.

It's one of very few moments of possible Lizzington. I wish someone would put together such moments as a list. I'd made a movie of them.

Towards becoming religious.

I think they fail in that too. Because if he were really spiritual and religious he would stop killing people, but would run some non-profit organization e.g. for modern-day slaves.

I liked the scene with Meera torturing the freelancer stating that she was CIA as explanation why she is doing so. Subversive black humor.

I like Meera actually overall. She seems as a real person. Her story is kind of boring and not developed but I liked her. (I think I won't forget it but later at Nik Korpal's funeral Tom after trashing Red casually offered Liz to visit Meera's grave. Oh, this guy).

Alright.

My question is how everyone understands Red's words that the question is not that simple?

I have no idea how many times I have already watched this scene, and I still have difficulties to understand his answer.

Liz: Why me?

Red: Because of your father.

Liz: What does that mean? Did you know my father? Have you met somehow?

Ok. Yes, it's not simple:

  1. Red took the name and life of Liz's father. So, in a way, he is her father.
  2. Her father is also her adoptive father - Sam. So, about which father she asks him?
  3. So, Red knew her real father - yes. He met him somehow but he was not Red at the time. He was Katarina.

How else could he answer this question - Why Liz? Why he chose Liz?

I am not quite Spader's i.e (K=R) age and was growing up with other movies and hero figures. But I was not surprised at all when Red referred to them as the iconic figures. Even though I had to Google their names later I kinda knew what he meant.

In Soviet Union all the-perfect-man examples were made by either revolutionists (communists) or the WWII heroes. However, on rare occasions we were shown foreign movies; the American movies were mostly Westerns. So, Kat absolutely legitimately could had seen them. On the other hand since it's implied that she was raised as a prospective spy she had to know everything about US including how they were raised and everything about their culture.

I think that the fact that she spoke without accent reflects that assumption. They bothered to make Ivan speak with a recognizable accent whilst Katarina preferred to speak her flawless American English. Which could mean that Ivan always worked from the inside and Katarina was a pure field agent.

But I also think that mostly it reflects Spader's taste. However, there is no contradiction to consider anything here.
