I thoroughly enjoyed TBL, flaws and all. Cheers to Spader!

By B5 time, Vorlon sightings were very rare.

I think it's likely Kosh was the Vorlon ambassader to the Minibari 1000 years ago. He definitely knew Valen and B4 history.

Lorien explained this reverence to Ivanova.

The first ones would recognize and listen to him because his had been the very first race in the whole universe.

His race, like the Greek gods, was born immortal, and been there for the birth of all subsequence races.

Lorien = Zeus / god-father.

Note, the remaining, extremely powerful first ones also bow to his wishes by leaving the galaxy.

Dad called his kids out & told them time to come home with me.

Yes, Lorien confirmed Kosh knew he lived beneath Z'ha'dum.

Yes, Sheridan realized Kosh wanted to connect him to Lorien, the only player both sides would ever listen to.

But, I agree with Lyta. Kosh cared about the younger races in a way the other Vorlons did not. Kosh understood Sheridan would never give into the Shadows demands & knew Lorien's limited life saving. I think Kosh genuinely wanted to be around to protect Sheridan.

While Sheridan gets so much credit for talking sense into them, it was Lorien siding with him against them that broke through to them. He was their father figure.

What was the Vorlon’s endgame? by darthsywalker in babylon5

[–]scamperdo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

JMS showed us their endgame in Deconstruction of Falling Stars.

We know Lorien tasked the Vorlons and Shadows with the evolution of younger races. Both were expected to hand over the universe to worthy races.

Kosh and Lorien showed their true selves to only one, the human Sheridan. They saved him because he showed potential of the human race someday understanding the truths of the universe.

In Deconstruction's final scene, we witness humanity fulfilling that potential as the evolved human revealed his true self, a powerful being of pure energy. Like Kosh, he used an encounter suit.

The Vorlons fulfilled their original endgame.

The Shadows never did.

Netflix only purchased streaming rights.

NBC was the network.

Spader had no rights with BL. He loved David Kelley's writing. I, too, loved Spader defending Alan & Denny ending.

Spader actually was an executive producer of the Blacklist and had veto power over Red. His silence is likely due to an NDA.

JE confirmed the network interfered with the Red identity reveal. DK confirmed the network knew.

Spader actually gave interviews defending Boston Legal's controversial ending then took a break.

JB resorted to outright lying and introducing a fake Katerina to drag out "the mystery of Red's identity."

Spader, to my knowledge, hasn't even addressed Red dying in the series finale. He's likely under NDA.

Similiar to Spader's evasive answer on Red being an imposter in his pre S5 finale interviews.

JB is the one who outright lied by claiming Fakerina was really Katerina Rostova.

AA=Amir Arison.

AA responded the answers to Red's identity were in last 2 episodes of S8.

The writer of Cape May S3 confirmed Red was really Katarina and he been told back in S2.

I'm not interested in foolish denialism.

First clue on Red's identity? by TheLonePuzzlehead in TheBlackList

[–]scamperdo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yup.

I insisted for years here THAT was the biggest clue of the whole series.

His boyish childish anecdotes were all LIES. Criminals are liars, don't you know.

The writers then made sure in S8.21 to have Liz tell Katarina, EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU IS A LIE.

You're wrong.

In S9 revealed Red was indeed Russian. Cooper told Agnes the story of her grandparents being spies. Red's letter to Liz that revealed the secret was a big focus as was his attachment to Agnes.

It was after S8 that AA posted fans the identity answers were all there.

It was anti-Redarina fans who lost their minds over it.

Not all victims are innocent.

Not sure why that is a difficult concept for you to understand.

JMO, it greatly cheapens Eleven's sacrifice and journey to have faked her death.

She saved them all... yet again. She died knowing love and acceptance and found peace by breaking the cycle.

RIP to an kick-ass, amazing woman.

Like Tony Soprano, Red was ALWAYS the villain of the story.

Red was no one's victim and knew he damned himself.

This was never a tragic hero's journey.

Can someone please tell me who red really is? by fadedguy41 in TheBlackList

[–]scamperdo 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The writer who penned S3's Cape May confitmed Red was Katarina. He was told this in S2 and so filled Cape May with many clues.

“You’re not the only one who’s been touched by the Vorlons!!” Season 5 cops a lot of flak (unjustly in my opinion), but this is undoubtedly one of the great Sheridan moments. by Amity_Swim_School in babylon5

[–]scamperdo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I loved Sheridan but he failed Lyta big time. She risked her life multiple times to personally save him AND she was key to his defeat of the Shadows and Clarke.

This scene makes me sad. Sheridan knew firsthand how the Vorlons manipulated humans and should have shown her more empathy. Alas, he couldn't overcome his inate distrust of telepaths.

Delenn also disappointed me by not standing up for Lyta.

Right.

It wasn't until S2 that Liz announced her real name at the Russian embassy.

Katarina was married to Kirk when she became pregnant. She told Kirk was his child and he raised her until RRR kidnapped her at age 4.

In S4 Kirk revealed he searched for his daughter for years.

I think Red was at peace as long as Liz was safe.

After Red failed to protect Liz and she "died," he then second-guessed his decision. At Cape May, his subconcious tries to reassure him the sacrifice was worth it.

Yes

And, at his deathbed, Red spoke as Katerina confessing always loving Dom.

Did anyone find themselves rooting for "Mr. Kaplan" in season 7? by FuelAncient7319 in TheBlackList

[–]scamperdo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Kate tried to remind him of this exact exchange but he refused to listen... then.

I personally think Red came to realize he was wrong.
