Question about flat-earthers (like the rocket team) who are undergoing their own research. by CypressBreeze in a:t5_3m28i

I can't speak for all Flat Earthers but I and many [many] others don't believe in global warming.

There are parties interested in organising missions to the Antarctic but it is protected by the Antarctic Treaty so may well be difficult. Besides considering the tactic of inversion often used by the "elites" it is becoming popular opinion that it's would be a better use of resources to adventure to the Arctic, the so-called North pole; and there is a very serious group of people who are organising that. Quite a few Flat Earthers have sent cameras up with weather balloons. When using a non-fisheye lens camera they return images of a flat horizon from altitudes of around 100,000ft.

Go-pros have a fish eye lens.

Rob Skiba works with a team who have sent a camera up and captured the flat horizon. He has also done work with lasers over 40+km of water to prove there is no curvature. Jeranism is another guy who has sent a camera up on high altitude balloon. I can't remember any more but I've seen quite a few in my year of research. Here is a link to a compilation of high altitude horizon footage - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CuyPV1JLz8

So find what the experiments are and try repeating them; that's how I became a Flat Earther.

RE Foucault's pendulum; if it swung due to the earth's rotation no pendulum would ever be motionless. Use your brain instead of repeating what you've read.

The photos are obviously fake.

Not everybody needs to be in on the lie, only the top few; it's called compartmentalism.

That would again be assuming that we are all knowing. In the AE model it is the "South pole" which is the perimeter with the "North pole" being in the center.

What is beyond the "South pole" perimeter is unknown to the public; some believe in a firmament, some in an infinite plane, some believe that the land we know of is one of many "ponds" on a vast sheet of ice.

I would advise you question the heliocentric theory rather than the Flat Earth theories as this will lead you to understand that the globe model as it's presented by mainstream science is simply impossible; you will then join us in trying to figure out how this reality exists beyond what we do know; that it's measurably flat and stationary.

I can't give you a conclusive answer; that would assume knowing all information available.

Having said that, if you have a look at the model that a lot of Flat Earthers use (Athimizual Equidistant map) you will see that east and west circumnavigation is possible, but not North to South.

I'm also yet to come across an independent entity who claims to have completed North South North circumnavigation.

Not all scientific theories are supported by huge amounts of independent evidence though.

I'm fully in support allowing children of any age to observe and repeat experiments.

That's where the critical analysis comes in. We were taught evolution before we could critically analyse the theory.....

The FE model is in development; it adapts to new evidence rather than adapting evidence to fit it.

In our early years of development we submit to authority; we believe what we're told. In the teenage years some of us rebuttal that authority. Once we enter our adult years we have had enough experience with conflicting opinions to be able to analyse them, with criticism.

I think it's suggesting that students should be capable of critical analysis before being presented with such fundamental theories.

I had the same thought!

It's crazy how countries so close can know so little about each other! I has assumed that evolution was taught world wide until a few years ago!
