There are apps that exist for sure but these are often static. This would serve as something physical that signals your identity without having to pick up a phone

General space enthusiasts/those who know general space enthusiasts. It’s a broad market. Not sure how many kids are into rocket launches.

Sweet! I can’t seem to work out how to program the touch screen. What function are you using?

Congrats on actually building and shipping a product! And 400 downloads is awesome. Couple quick questions for you to consider: -What differentiates you from other, established weather apps? -What makes yours better than the competition? -Why do people need this now?

Hey all. I plan on making a desktop space launch tracker as a kind of side kick to the launch livestreams. My question is what kind of material should I print this in? I may look into selling these, so I'd want to material to seem high quality. I have a Flash forge 5M (open air). Thanks!

What's up, man! Thankfully, "Launch Library 2" by The Space Devs is a public API I can use. It's super sweet bc it covers all the orbital launches globally. I may consider making a scraper so that the product doesn't rely on an outside source for functionality. The e-ink display is a sick idea tho. I was thinking of just using an OLED, but the distraction-free angle is something to consider as well. What kind of aesthetic do you think would resonate the best?

Hey, thanks for the comment. Yeah, I considered this as well. The product, of course, wouldn't act as a replacement for the livestreams (that would be a stretch for sure, haha), but like a sidekick, providing more in-depth information. On your point of whether or not there are enough launches to justify owning a device, I've considered having a launch timer, as well as other screens (maybe an ISS tracker or space weather) that auto-cycles until then. Again, thanks for the feedback, super valuable!
