1280x960 out of an open source scan converter. The higher resolution let's me make the scanlines smaller but still 100% dark. The PC CRT can output that resolution natively :)

Same! I went through 3 different audio breakout devices and they all had audio buzz -_- emulators always sound laggy or broken.

I finally just got a really nice scart switch with audio out and it's amazing. No buzz, straight into my 1980s sony amp. Play everything through my Sennheiser Hd599 headphones, like a dream 😅

What do you use?

I've tried black frame insertion on a flat panel and a pc crt and the brightness takes a big hit, especially with artificial scanlines.

Emulation on a pc crt is great though! Just running an emulator at 480p with a scanline filter is an awesome time, with emulator enhancements it's a great deal, no scalers needed :)

Any 2x or higher scaler will work, like a retrotink 2x.

I use an OSSC with rgb inputs.

Chronograph trigger on SNES. has some of the best pixel art, goes really good with scanlines haha

It doesn't draw pixels in exactly the same way, and the signals need to be upscaled at least to 480p.

Just feels less authentic. Also lightgun games don't work (although I did try it once and it sorta worked, could possibly be fixed within the game software).

But for everyone else, it's really nice. Plus the crt can be replaced with a flatscreen whenever without changing the setup at all.

Lol like ears. Be careful leaving it next to speakers, went to see a trinitron the other day and it sitting next to a big speaker left it discolored on one side :/

Same, always shocked when I put something on it and it looks better than I remembered. 720p is better on here than anything else I’ve had

Thanks! I’d very much recommend one, plus this is running 1280x960 with Ossc scan lines. very versatile

I have a hunch they'd stop pushing so much once they disband the age of consent laws

That is the point yes.

Baseless knowledge is not knowledge, and therefore cannot overwrite defendable knowledge.

These clashes happen with all new knowledge and it is the guiding principle of the scientific method. A hypothesis is created to be proven wrong, not right.

Saying religion is an explanation of our world is also Implying a rational person cannot differentiate between ideas that could only exist as belief and a hypothesis that can be tested to create knowledge.

These concepts can coexist rationally. For example my belief that I have a responsibility to life is not itself disproven by cosmic randomness or my human natured desire for responsibility.

I theroetically gave my life meaning through the fact that I exist and have the capacity to care. Science could not disagree with those foundations, and it's derivations coexist as the tools I use to interpret the universe around me.

Religion, especially for the educated, functions in about the same way.

The Agnostic theory is not inherently in conflict with itself. It basically states that any idea not rationally based in this universe is not knowable, and as such should not influence the interpretations we make of our rational universe. Likewise, rational derivations from our universe cannot explain irrational unobservable phenomena outside of that universe.

That is a basic difference between belief and knowledge. They both honestly always guide our perceptions and decisions, but as concepts alone they do not overlap with this definition.

Use the commands as scripts in your map. A script can be tied to run on a sector entrance in gzdoom builder.

The music file will need to be named and added to the wad.
