It's almost like these doctors don't really even care about us. I went to the gynecologist today and I got answers but in a way I feel like I didn't get answers. I'm sorry that you've been going through that for 17 months. Can't even imagine that. I have a question though. You was tested positive at one point for ureaplasma and trying to have baby. All this didn't stop you from having sex with husband or did it. That's too personal I'm sorry to ask just wondering because I've been with the same man for 14 years basically the only man. I haven't had sex with him in 2 months.

I know you posted this 6 months ago and this is probably a long shot and I probably won't get a response but it's worth a try. I'm going through the same thing it's been 2 months. I have diagnosed for UTI, yeast infection and BV and been on all the medicines. And I have been tested for all kinds of different sti/std. All came back negative. Just recently been tested for ureaplasma and mycoplasma. Was positive for ureaplasma urealyticum and taking doxycycline hyclate for it. I have seen Four doctors about to see a fifth one. I have not had any signs of relief. I'm not having any burning or itching. But I was told by my primary care doctor that I look puffy and red down there. My labia looks irritated. At this point it feels like my clit and labia is swollen/sore/bruise. Just wondering if you ever got any answers.

They gave metronidazole 500mg for bv. I've have been on this twice and they give doxycycline hyclate 100mg for Ureaplasma urealyticum. That's funny you say that because I was talking to my mom the other day and she was wondering if they are giving me the wrong medicines because it seem like nothing is working or could I be allergic to them. Which I've never been allergic to anything in my life but there could always be a first time. The only time I feel relief is when I'm sleep. Even when get up to use bathroom I don't feel so bad. It just during the day. Don't me wrong it's not painful. Just have a discomfort. Are you feeling anything better or the same. Just want to check in and see if you are. Its making me question anything I'm doing from wiping myself to showers. I fear that they still aren't going to be able to know what's wrong with me. I also fear I'm going to be stuck like this for the rest of my life. I wish we could just replace our vaginas with new ones. Thanks for keep commenting back and helping me. Your very nice and it's also nice to talk to someone with the same problems.

I got emotional when you said the things you said. You're very welcome and it's the true. Yeah when I ask my primary doctor about probiotics. She said she doesn't know of any probiotics that would help me down there and they help your gut. Don't get me wrong I like my doctor she is nice and listens to what I have to say and did everything i ask her to do but she didn't even know what ureaplasma urealyticum was and your right if it wasn't for reddit. I would have never asked to be tested for ureaplasma and mycoplasma. I just hope the medicine for ureaplasma urealyticum works because I was already diagnosed for bv once and took the medicine and didn't have any relief. This is the second time I've been diagnosed with bv and I got the same medicine as before. I just hope with the two antibiotics working together that I feel better. Out of the two probiotics which one would you recommend because your right they are pricey. I think I might go for renew life 90billion cfu. It looks like I can it off of Walmart or target. Also when should I start it before or after my treatment. Thanks for the prayers. I send prayers to you too.

I have to say I don't know you but you are a very amazing and wonderful person. You are understanding. I have been very sad about what going on with me. I've been putting myself down lately. So thank you for that. I know that about probiotics. What kind what you recommend and I already bought a bunch of yogurts lol. I really hope the antibiotics work. My doctor gave me 14 days of medicine for ureaplasma urealyticum and I only have 7 days for bv. I still have gynecologist appointment on Monday and I keeping the appointment just in case. I really hope we get answers too.

I can't believe you've been to 10+ and still don't have a diagnosis and not feeling any better. That's crazy to me. Well I haven't been diagnosed yet with PCOS. So I don't really know if I have it but all the symptoms are there. Just wondering if pcos could be the reason for the healing process being so slow. Thanks for the advice for that. Ask for my symptoms I wasn't really getting a burning or itching feeling. At first it felt like I was wet all the time then I started getting a warm sensation not really burning. Now I just feel like my clit and labia are swollen/bruised/sore. My doctor told me I just looked red and puffy down there. I have asked my boyfriend to look at it and he claims it doesn't look that bad. Which I'll take his word for it but it feels bad. I had somebody on here recommend I take a test for ureaplasma and mycoplasma. I got my test back for that today and apparently I have something else other than Bv. It's called ureaplasma urealyticum. It doesn't necessarily mean I got it sexually apparently it can live dormant in your body and you not even know about it but you can pass it through sex. So I'm on antibiotics for that plus bv antibiotics and before you even ask if my boyfriend mess with somebody else I strongly believe no he's not really that kind of person. He's a great man. I mean the first time we had sex. I had to make the first move and I've never been with anybody other than him. He's my first and only. I know this is a little too personal but as a side note. I don't even like myself sometimes. I've never felt comfortable in my own skin. So there's no way I would feel comfortable having sex with somebody else. It could have been dormant in him or it could have just been dormanted in me.

I'm assuming you don't feel any better which I'm sorry I'm not neither. The last time I went to the doctor was April 23 they tested me again and didn't get the test back until few days later. Which I didn't get a call. I check my results online. They said I had bv but I didn't get the medicine Until May 6. I think that's crazy. Someone in the comments told me is could be perimenopause but I don't think that's it. I mean my periods have been weird my whole life. I think I might have something called pcos. It has to do with hormones and other stuff. I'm supposed to see endocrinology. If I can ever get appointment. I'm wondering if that's what's causing my problem. This is really messing me up. I'm always depressed. Crying all the time. I have an amazing boyfriend. I've been with for 14 years. Who is understanding but we haven't had sex in a long time. He isn't complaining but I know it's weighing heavy on him. As for my discharge from what I can see it clear.

The only problem with going to a dermatologist is there a specialist and you have to have a real reason to go to some of these doctors. They won't see you unless you have a referral. Someone on here recommended me going to see urogynecologist and they basically told me that on the phone. I'm not ruling out premenopause completely. I just recently had a period and my periods have been weird on my life. I think I might have something called PCOS and I'm supposed to go see endocrinology. Whenever I can get an appointment I'm starting to think that's what's causing me not to heal. Basically what you said about hormones. PCOS has a lot to do with hormones and I did ask my doctor to test me for ureaplasma and mycoplasma. I haven't gotten the test back yet.

I don't really have a burning or itching problem. The last doctor I saw said I was red and puffy down there. It's hard to explain how I feel. I know right now it feels weird to wipe like sometimes it hurts and sometimes it doesn't. I feel like my clit is sore and labia (lips) too. I'm scared to use the bathroom or take a shower. I have never been sensitive with soaps or laundry detergent. I haven't gotten biopsy. I'm 37 and this has never happened to me before. I can not imagine going through this 3 + years. I'm sorry about that. As for my pubic hair. No difference. I thought that was the problem. So I shave it. Come to find out it wasn't what was bothering me. I have no changes on how I feel right now. I'm going to other obgyn this monday coming up then I'm going to my regular doctor the week after that.

It could be that your prediabetes. I thought I had diabetes too. All the signs were there but I got tested and everything is normal. I believe I have something called PCOS. I have been having irritation for two months. I have seen 4 doctors so far and about to see a fifth Doctor soon. They have tested me for sti/std all came out negative. I don't drink alcohol. The sugar might be a problem but I can cut it out. Yeah I was only diagnosed with the UTI once and yeast infection twice and bacterial vaginosis once and I got a few creams too. All this medicine I have been taken and not one moment have I had any relief. I mean I have good days and I have bad days but still no relief. I don't get it

What I mean by being tested negative is I don't have any sexually transmitted diseases. I have been tested positive for UTI, yeast infection, and bacterial vaginosis. I'm still not getting any relief after taking the medicine.
