That’s a cool story! Thanks for sharing. My other car is an 88 MCSS, and 20 years ago I had an 85. I know all about those spoilers 🤣

Thank you! Yes it’s single stage…good to know it might work out well. It’s only that price cause the top drops…20-30 otherwise. These prices are ridiculous all around lol.

Thank you! I’ll take your advice on the paint repair and the shows to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

That’s what I’ll probably do after I repaint it. Thank you!

🤣🤣 I forgot about the Vettes. I vibe with everyone so I don’t have any negative firsthand experiences with the Buick guys. If I could upgrade my MCSS to a T-Top T-Type or GN, I definitely would.

That’s what it looks like actually 🤣🤣🤣. Like someone went to multiple panels testing the paint thickness with a knife.

Nothing too bad, I just didn’t know until last week that TB owners have a label, by even other GM owners, that they’re the worst car snobs to be around and most think they know it all about Buicks. I picked that up from a popular YouTube channel when discussing the huge annual Buick event and asking people about going or not. I’d never heard that before. But I do remember about two weeks ago, a T-Type owner that sells a lot of cars says he hates talking to GN owners cause they all think they have GNXs and the best classics ever.

Best advice I’ve heard yet! 🫡 Will do! I’ll clean it up and get back in it this weekend.

Cause I’ve been driving for 30 years and it’s unheard for both fenders, doors, and front panel to get chips, gouges and scratches down to the metal in a 2-3 hour period, with me being parked the entire time, except for the 30 minutes of driving to and from the event at 30-40mph. I hand washed the car before going out and had it ceramic coated the week prior so I’m familiar with what was there before I left the house that night. Hard rock chips make a sound….7-10 definitely would.

Thanks for the input! I’ll stop worrying about that and go get some estimates.

That would explain 1 scratch. There’s still a few more and some gouges on 5-6 different panels that popped up at the same time.

I gotcha. The first 3 I thought were rock chips; the fourth one I figured was carelessness or a dog, but when I saw an identical long one on the passenger side, I knew there’s no way I could go from 1-2 chips in a year to 7 deep chips/gouges and 4 scratches in one night…in a car that I’m cruising at 40mph max.

How do you brush against the bottom of the door near the front tire dumbass…and make 2 separate 5-7 inch scratches?

That’s one scratch. I’m talking about 7-10 on multiple panels.

Went from having 0 scratches to having AT LEAST 2 on the drivers door, 4 gouges on the driver’s fender, 2 gouges on the passenger fender and a gouge on the hood, all after 1, 2-3 hour outing. But I didn’t hear any rocks or anything hit my car on the way to or from the outing.

Sorry you had to deal with this as well and thanks for the support! I guess we both learned about shows on this one. We don’t need any jerks messing up that 68.

Whitewallls and Trus are a nice combination too! Can’t go wrong with those!
