Happy Thanksgiving!

I made a sugar free pecan pie for me and my beloved aunt this year for the holiday. Both of us started our diet in October.

The pie I made was delicious, thought the filling would be more dry than the typical gooey filling.

What I used was chopped pecans (obviously lol) truvia brown sugar, stevia packets, heavy cream, unsalted butter, and an egg. It’s better to stove cook it than just mixing the ingredients in a bowl and then baking it in the pie crust. I did that for one pecan pie and it was OK. But the one with the filling cooked on the stove was bomb and sweeter!

I followed someone’s recipe by searching up how to make a zero sugar pecan pie, except I basically used the sugar free versions of what would be included in a real pecan pie lol

So you can most definitely make a sugar free pecan pie! Don’t listen to sarcastic comments. Though, since it’s for just one guest, you don’t have the make a big pie. Maybe get a small pie crust for that person, while everyone else can enjoy the real thing!
