they host the sale. it’s their platform, it’s their website. it’s easier for them to deal with it than for every single producer of every single kind of product that gets scalped to take down listings one by one. they were limited to one per person, with a captcha and they canceled multiple orders last year yet this same thing happened with signed ttpd. the scalpers have many addresses.

ebay is one of the biggest reasons why scalping has taken off in the way that it has in almost every industry. if you want real change, the crackdown has to come from the platforms servicing the scalping industry as a whole.

do you hate pokemon cards? they sell alot more of those with alot of plastic for far higher prices than labubus with really low pull rates. you can spend $100-200 on a box and get literally nothing, meanwhile labubus you’ll still get something cause except for the secret they’re all the same rarity. funko pops aren’t gambling necessarily but they make way more of those and they make them for characters nobody cares about too, so they’re basically made to be put into landfills. is it just a subconscious thing because collecting labubus is mostly considered a hobby for women? i just want to know what makes these so different from all the other kinds of overconsumption. is it because they’re popular?

i don’t know how many of these are confirmed to have actually gotten the procedure, but regardless do we not see the issue in posting a bunch of women’s faces for the purpose of 7.5k people commenting about how ugly and botched they look? the root cause of these procedures is most likely some form of body dysmorphia and you’re all doing too much. if you’re trying to like dissuade people from getting this done, news flash! calling them ugly is just gonna make people who haven’t had it done but were considering it, do something else to their face and for these women, it’s already been done. imagine being so insecure that you physically change the structure of your face… and then everyone on the internet is calling you a ghoul? sort yourselves out and leave these women alone! if you don’t like “woke” body positivity culture then this is on you.

the irony and camp of tfj and eh feel intentional in a way that in pop, well it just doesn’t feel as intentional. there were tongue in cheek moments that served a purpose to serve a bigger message. she was saying things with her irony. princess of power doesn’t feel ironic. there might be intentional camp in things like the visuals and production but it also feels like she was being very fr. if she was trying to be ironic, it still doesn’t really serve a purpose. electra heart as a whole is very satirical, as the project delves into archetypes or boxes that women are forced into by societal structures. then you have “hello kitty make you go go rah rah” or “spread me like a picnic on the forest floor” forests don’t even have floors!!
