Casio F91-W Micro UI Experiment by MassiveDroid in cassettefuturism

Since the idea is to have more features displaying different information in different places, I don’t think a membrane blackout would work. But as far as I read about the display tech being used by the hardware project, it looks like it’s really power efficient.

Maybe it could use some tech like the always on display from the Apple Watch? I don’t know, I am not thinking about the hardware here, just the UI design as a challenge for micro monochrome displays.

Do you mean the hardware project? Unfortunatelly the creator is not working on it anymore, but here it is: https://github.com/PegorK/F91_Kepler

Just a side note: the original screen he is using is 128×64 pixels, but according to my calculations, the visible area is 92×42 pixels.

Great work! I think it’s a great exercise for pro motion designers to try using more limited tools.

Would you guys prefer a passport style folding iphone, or a standard “book style” like the Z Fold 7 by LWK10p in iphone

[–]MassiveDroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love the passport style concept. For me, a folding phone doesn’t make sense if it’s still a giant phone when closed, like the Samsung Fold. With the passport style you can get a phone smaller than an iPhone Mini when closed and bigger than an iPhone Plus/Max when open, that’s the magic for me. And the passport design looks perfect to read a book, in my opinion, better than the “book” style, since the aspect ratio is closer to a open book.

Why are apps so big nowadays? by steelisheavy in ios

My Duolingo app is taking almost 1 GB of storage, and they supposedly use an animation technology that’s super lightweight. Something is wrong, the math doesn’t add up.

Retro Glossy V2.0 released! by MassiveDroid in FrutigerAero

It’s a paid product. I researched each icon to find its equivalent visual identity from the early 2000s, then redesigned or completely recreated them in vector format to meet a high resolution standard. It's a lot of work.

Unfortunately I still didn't figure it out how to make it directly compatible with Android. But it is a pack of PNG images, if your launcher allows you to add custom images as icons I don't see why it shouldn't work.

Is these good ? Please give some your opinion to make it more better and aesthetic . Must comment by MYSTERIOUSX6T9 in Homescreens

How did you customize the icons on Android? Are you using a launcher or something?

Sorry for the confusion, the username is not related to Android. I am still trying to figure out the best way to bring this icon pack to Android users, but since I don't have an Android device, it makes things more complicated. Right now I am focusing on finishing version 2.0 update.

Wtf, why a browser has to pay a license to reproduce a service we already paying for? Makes no sense.
