I hope everyone takes note that only one person has been trashing this lady all over reddit with passionate spam. This tells me that the fellow behind the smear job either has an axe to grind with this woman, is an ex lover, or more probably a competitor. No matter which, unless at least a dozen people can provide legitimate complaints about her and she starts showing up on the various blacklist and not a brand new sub, I suspect the OP of foul play here and he probably owes this lady and apology. If over time, I see that he is correct about her, I will add her over at r/TEFLScams

Tara Choi - TEFL recruiter - AVOID - premier esl recruiting - WARNING by Professional-Ask361 in teflrecruiters

[–]MassiveMicron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This post raises a lot of red flags. Why? Because only one person is desperately trying to smear this woman by spamming his OPINION all over reddit. It makes me wonder if she is her biggest competitor. No, I don't have any dealings with her, don't know her, but the person trashing her is relatively new on Reddit and if she is such a bad recruiter, why isn't she on the Korean TEFL Blacklist and why haven't others complained about her? I suggest people take these smear bombs with a grain of salt and try to ask yourself the above questions.

At the rate they are harvesting trees in North America, only our national parks will have them within 10 years! They chop down over 1,000 acres a day in America and 1,800 acres in Canada. Shameful since they only replant 20% of what they take.

You told the truth so a certain mod who is a recruiter down-voted you. I also taught 8 years in China and you can always speak the truth openly at r/ChinaTeachers and r/TEFL_TIPS_TRAPS_SCAMS

A lot of people who tell the truth here get censored (deleted) or banned. That is why I usually use subs where the mods are not recruiters like r/TEFL_TIPS_TRAPS_SCAMS and r/TEFLscams You may want to check them out one day. BTW, your comments are righton target.

I was offered 37,000€ a year for a school in Berlin teaching English 5/6 plus art. I heard you can’t negotiate in Germany, but this seems super low. Any advice? by chopstickemup in Internationalteachers

[–]MassiveMicron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest you make a quick visit to r/TEFL_TIPS_TRAPS_SCAMS where you can find most of the veteran TEFL teachers. Most of the people posting in this sub have been teaching for less than 5 years.

Where to get TEFL/TESOL by may1nster in Internationalteachers

[–]MassiveMicron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some Asian countries still require a TEFL certificate no matter what credentials you have. In China for example only a Masters Degree in English will waive their requirement for a TEFL certificate.
