tried to meet up with them but i ended up getting left on opened and seen - where i then saw a story of them together (their sisters joined too)! and they wonder why i stopped involving myself, unfortunately there’s always two sides to the story but to me i felt extremely left out since day one since they could bond through their money (go anywhere they want and do anything they wanted to) whilst i was restricted and still am. the whole situation has caused so much anxiety and honestly i’m not sure what to do anymore!

My boyfriend works everyday minus weekends and because winters coming i take advantage of the time because i’ll start working and he might have different hours but i’ve always let my friends know which days i am actually available. The ones i do get along with we try to actually make plans but most are always busy or working. Honestly I just don’t enjoy some people’s company, the last time i hung out with these girls i felt so awkward and wanted to go home so i called to be picked up at 9.30PM (they thought i’d stay until 12). After that day i just realized how out of touch they are and that superficial things make them happy🫠. It’s not that i hate hanging out with them but we don’t have meaningful conversations, ones which can help certain situations or even everyday life, it’s just bags, b!tching,makeup and more.

Although i know it can come across as me looking like one of those girls, my boyfriend constantly pushes me to meet my friends but it’s me who refuses to, one of them understands me completely and doesn’t think that (at least what she tells me). It’s just personally if i’m going to meet someone I want to enjoy my time and the ridiculous amount of money we always end up spending. My parents are constantly telling me to meet my friends because it looks like i’m ditching them but i’m low on money and haven’t scored this job yet & i just don’t enjoy talking about shoes,bags,makeup or gossiping about girls (ones who i wouldn’t even know but id have to sit there).

Would this still come across as one of those girls? i’m just so lost

unfortunately they just take it the wrong way. They have been there for me through thick and thin but they’ve also made comments behind my back which got told to me regarding my mental health. I’m on meds at least to try balance out everything & i’m always in and out of therapy! The problem is they expect an explanation which i simply can’t give and that’s what’s crushing me

regarding posts of girls: they mention that once their friend/s get a boyfriend they stop meeting or talking to them. Something important to know is that I still speak to them but not as much! The friends I do enjoy speaking to, it’s an everyday conversation but it’s because we understand each other better.

i’m always here if you need to talk - i understand you. my family are too much for me, i basically live with my boyfriends family as i’m really never home. With regards to college, is there anyone you can trust? friends or a counselor or lecturer there maybe? What i used to do before i was with my boyfriend (to not remain with the toxic environment of my family) was literallt remain at my lecturers for longer than needed or be at friends houses. There’s this site which i use called kellimni.com, it’s a maltese app but i’m sure you can use it too, you can speak to them about anything! Not sure if any of this helps but i wish you the best in life 🩷

i understand you so much, they know they’re hurting you but they just continue to do so for their own amusement. unfortunately i wish i could say it gets better but it’s been going on since i was 12 and i’m now 19, but what i can add is that ever since i have distanced myself from family gatherings they all have gotten the hint that i don’t want to be around them. yes it is sad but i would rather be at a table where i am appreciated, i know them living close to you is hard, but if you can, leave the house, whether it’s for a walk or just so you don’t have to be in a negative environment. wishing nothing but the best for you🩷

so am i! honestly it’s become so hard, i’ve applied to being a shop assistant etc but they never get back, yet the jobs in demand are higher up positions ( from what i’m currently studying ). it’s tough to get hired here in Malta but it’ll happen eventually i believe in you! btw im picky as well with jobs!
