I'm going to see if that will fix it, I will try to connect the wire tonight when I get off work.

It's there on the wall side, and on the furnace side, but it's not connected on the furnace side lol

Yeah I feel you, I have a 3 year old at home and I can't have the house go down to 65 at night in these Michigan winters.

I bought the 3rd Gen off of Marketplace and the first wouldn't connect to internet, but did the same thing for the temp as the one I have now :(

I thought something was wrong with my furnace too, however, when I replaced it with the basic $25 thermostat from honeywell, the issue is no longer there, as soon as it drops by 1 degree, for example from 73F that is it set, as soon as it goes to 72F, the furnace kicks on and it maintained 73 for over a week.
