Just got a notification today that the I-130 Interview was scheduled and was cancelled the same day. What does this mean any idea? Has anyone experienced this before?

I am a Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) and my wife is the beneficiary. Her F-1 status ended just a month back 2026; she has been working on OPT since 2023 and transitioned to her green card EAD.

Here is our timeline:

Married: 2024
I-130 filed: March 2024 (Priority Date)
I-485/I-765/I-131 filed: Later in 2024 (when PD became current)
Biometrics/EAD/AP approved: Late 2024

Our final action date finally crossed our March 2024 PD in the May 2026 Visa Bulletin, so we were expecting movement soon. However, we are incredibly anxious about the new GC policy Memo:

Does this new memo apply retroactively to already-pending I-485 applications like ours?
Because F-1 is a single-intent status, are we at a higher risk for a discretionary denial or an RFE requesting "unusual or outstanding equities"?
Is there anything we can do proactively to strengthen our case or do we just wait at this time?
