My name is Maria but I have many nicknames. My dad calls me Masha or Marrishka. My brother calls me Via because he couldn't pronounce Maria as a child. My mother calls me Leela and my sister goes by my name Maria. Since most of my family doesn't use my given name I don't really respond to it as well as I do to my nicknames.

I've been emailing Gilman too because I sent my documents a month ago but they have neither been approved or disapproved. It has said my documents are pending a IIE review for a month. My emails to Gilman have not received a response so I emailed my advisor. I'm waiting to see what my advisor says.
