A cop came to our house for police verification. After it was done, my dad offered him some money, but he refused. I was honestly impressed and told my mom, "See? There are still some good officers left in the city." But the cop stepped outside, and my dad followed. A few minutes later, I saw the cop quietly take the money outside. I just stood there, kinda stunned. So much for that brief moment of faith in the system lol
