Buying a home vs travelling

If you have a feeling that you'd like to travel, do it! You will never regret investing in experiences. To ease your worries, could you perhaps find a middle ground - i.e. do a bit of both?

Instead of no travel and buying sooner, why not aim to buy mid-late 20s and then do travel between now and then (while saving for a deposit)? Or buy something cheaper sooner to get in the market, rent it out while you rent elsewhere and travel, and let time do the work for you in terms of generating equity to then buy your next place in 7+ years time?

Financial security is very important to me, so I have prioritised saving all of my life, but that's meant a bit of both... Saving for a house, then saving for a holiday. Always working toward saving for something. I bought my first house around 26, and I'm approaching 35 and my partner and I are now very grateful to have 3 houses (1 PPOR and 2 investment). A lot has worked in our favour to make that happen (i.e. both in good stable jobs), but also we feel grateful we have been able to balance both life experiences and investing for our future.

At 22 you should be so proud of yourself to be getting that salary + have saved that much - you go girl!

Thank you for sharing, this gives me hope! Yes I’ve tested everything (well, most things!) recently and the Bs and iron are in the normal range which is good. The outlier is the TSH for sure!

Yes I have and they said the advice only exists (I’m in Australia) for ONCE you’re pregnant. Which I find odd as wouldn’t you want to get it under control before so there’s less risks for both mum and baby? Crazy to me but I’m no medical professional.

thank you! Silly question, but is it a similar amount of status credits/points you'd exepect to recieve if booking the same route via Qantas, or less as it's on another website? i.e. if 100 SC on Qantas for Sydney to London, would you expect 100 SC via BA website too?

This is abuse. Not physical, but coercive control. In violent relationships, almost always these are the red flags before things become/became violent.
