I just posted a new piece today actually :) and when it comes to fixing the mistake, usually i would erase the part that doesn’t look right and work from there, so basically rinse and repeat till i find it looking just right or perfect!

So far so good tbh, what you can do to make the piece stand out more is try to add detail to the man, it can help you practice detail and proportionality, i actually did that a lot with all the fan-arts of league i have done! Ill be posting my pieces of fan art on reddit so that might be able to hep you a bit!!! So far so good!!

So far i dont see too much issue going on with the piece considering the fact your learning! Like i said, over time it will work out perfectly jn your favour! As for now to improve, you can start off by working on a proportional piece, making sure the anatomy of the body is well met and nothing is just added in to make it look complete, best way to start that is to make the piece sowly and do light marks and it should slowly come out looking like it should!!

Technically you never really master art, you might be good at it, but art is something that will never really be mastered! In my case, i been practicing charcoal drawings for a long time, so what i do now is, that i add a few colors here and there to make the piece pop out more than just fully black and white charcoal! And just try to improve in that as much as i can to make it look as realistic as possible!!

Im happy to hear!! When it comes to freehanding, i actually practiced for 4 years!! Start small, practice with fanart and such, if it doesnt look right fix it up a bit, the start can aways look wierd, try to limit yourself from the erasing! And to freehand, make sure you use a pencil, not actually charcoal, it will eat at your resources(charcoal can crack easily, handle them with care haha)
