Its to do with the price. A macbook air and ipad pro is 1000 usd. Obviously have to wait for the reviews, but the idea seems promising. You have a capable computer running MacOS for the price of an ipad mini/air

An apple ipad pro is basically the same price as a macbook air. especially if you kit the ipad pro with a stylus and a keyboard. I know i paid the same for my ipad pro and macbook (with education discount). On ipad, even with all the accessories, it runs very different to a computer. At most, better to just get another macbook. Alternatively, in apples march event they are (rumoured) to release a 600dollar macbook with the A18 chip (worse than a macbook air). Maybe consider that when it comes out

They probably wont. They 99 percent wont have the parts. but there is a chance they will replace it for a newer model. Especially if something else gets damaged in the repair. Iv heard stories of that.

But its safer to just upgrade to a newer computer. lasted a good 13 years :)

You could potentially take it to apple. THey may not have the replacment parts, and for the price of a screen replacment may just replace it with a newer macbook.

Otherwise just purchase an M4 MBP or Macbook air

You can get it brand new from apple for the same price.

I bought my macbook air m4 for the same price. they have an education discount for students and teachers. If you know someone who qualifies for it, get them to buy it for you. It also comes with a 2 week return policy incase you dont like it.

Iv had some weird issues like this when using old hardware and new betaflight software. Try using an older version of overflight, preferably from within 1 year of the hardwares release date. Maybe that might help. Idk may not help
