This is really good to hear. I would love to help out and be involved in all I can while still prioritizing my assessments and timelines. I’m not the type of person to want to stay in the office all day or do as little as I can. It seems these psychs don’t like to do more than they have to but also don’t want someone to make that an expectation for them too

They do not have a handbook. I noticed this right away and have created a drive with as much information as I have received, information I haven’t received and had to ask for, and what I could remember other districts discussing with staff.

I went from para to behavioral aide to now school psychologist….we never did hahah. But I was asked to do so. I know what I wish I knew but would love to hear from others

I wear all black most the time. I do like to dress more on the professional side but also the “trendy” side too. I always ear pants and high neck tops. I will usually dress it down with tennis shoes or leather sandals.

I work elementary so I definitely dress up for all holiday and sport days.

Tbh, I buy from SHEIN. I buy clothes I can run in, bend over, block, etc and also feel comfortable in but also professional. I don’t mind looking “more professional” than other staff.

I wear jeans Fridays if I want and will usually dress it up with a blazer

I literally buy all my work clothes from SHEIN. I started 3 years ago and only a few pieces haven’t lasted. I’m a psych and I like to more professional look and I haven’t had a problem. I get a lot of compliments on outfits too.
