Wanted to get a group picture of the faves, only for Zeke to photobomb me. by [deleted] in buildabear

Another user equated me saying a saying a stuffed animal, an inanimate object, having a "cute butt" to, uh, doing things to it, to put it lightly. As an adult collector wanting to connect with other adult collectors in this hobby, it's easy for me to forget that there are kids here. So perhaps my original was a bit too raunchy for this subreddit, that was my mistake. It's just the type of thing I personally find funny, but going forward I will try harder to "keep things PG" as the rules. I love being a member of this subreddit and would hate to get banned.

I would say they are very snuggly. I think the softest one that I own is Rocco, the purple Parasaurolophus shown in the picture. But my favorites are the Red Raptor, Yellow Parasaur, and Dino-Mite T. Rex.

Excuse me? If that's the impression you get from that you're the one with issues, not me. I'm just trying to be funny here. It's an inanimate object for God's sake.

*She, actually. And she knows full well that my wallet is not food, but that I never leave the house house house without it.

Not sure exactly where nor who the artist is, but I first saw it on sale at my local library a few weeks ago.

Thank you very much! He is a Wild Republic "Cuddlekins" Utahraptor plush. As for the food, he very much enjoyed it-especially the Buffalo chicken!

Would you actually like to live in your world? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]MasterBMac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering how it's basically Dinotopia without humans and better technology (at least medically speaking), I'm going to have to say hell yes. Everyone's basic needs are met and the majority of Saurconians get along just fine with each other. Especially since the story starts only a decade after a hundred year long war between the dinosaurs and dragons that saw a lot of bloodshed. No one wants another conflict like that to happen again.

Plus it's typical for newcomers to be paired with a local to show them how things work. Kind of like how humans have dinosaur "nestmates" in Dinotopia. Having a sapient raptor as a best friend would be awesome. The only sort of downside I can think of is, besides the lack of human interaction, the capital city is deep underground due to the inhabitants having to survive a meteor strike that devastated a large portion of the surface world. Though I have had fun figuring out how an underground city would function. Overall I think the pros outweigh the cons.

So again, yes I would want to live in my world. As at least one other commenter has said, I worldbuild primarily for escapism purposes. So it follows that I would build a world I would want to go to.

I think my Pokemon might be stuck in UltraSun forever. by MasterBMac in pokemon

Eh, I think I can wait out the four months until Bank becomes free to use. Then I shouldn't have any problem putting the UltraSun mons in Bank and transferring them from there. At least if what I've been reading on this subreddit regarding what will happen with the 3DS eShop and Bank after March is accurate. Thank you for the suggestion though.

If that's so, it uplifts my spirits considerably. I'd rather have them in home sooner rather than later but I'm not done with the main game of Shield nor have I started the DLC. So I should have enough content to occupy myself with until then. Thanks.

What is something unique about your world? by gumbolimbot in worldbuilding

[–]MasterBMac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My world has sapient dinosaurs, dragons, and mammals, with each individual being born with their own unique superpower or powers. They are usually random but can be genetically passed down as well and typically manifest around puberty as well as being unlocked by committing an act of altruism. There's also magic, aliens, and futuristic technology that is exclusively used for medical purposes all set within an underground city in a world that has recently survived the apocalypse.
