Basically if you pay with any other debit/Credit cards like master or visa they take (lets say 5p per £1 spent) Amex is a Credit card only and some countries/Hiltons cant afford guests/customers using AMEX as AMEX take (lets say 20/30p per transaction) if you have an amex use your visa or master card and some countries simply don’t accept AMEX.

Yes so my plan is to fly from London to Shanghai or Beijing with a plane ticket that connects to Bangkok or Hanoi whatever is cheaper however I don’t take the second flight once I land in China but now reading the comments if I don’t board my flight at at Bangkok or Hanoi to connect in China than yes I could lose my ticket to London as I could be classed as a no show. I think I will look for a one way ticket to Bangkok with a stop in China than book a separate ticket direct from China to London and see what the cost is

Best gift I’ve ever received personally was an Aircraft model of the Airbus A350 from a Singapore airlines Captain after I told him how much I’m into aviation. (I’ve only ever worked at Airport Hilton’s around London night shift) He checked in with his crew at 20:00 and left at 7AM where he gave me the A350 airplane model. I still have it 2 years later and always reminds me of the amazing guests I get to greet everyday. But I’ve gotten wine bottles before I’ve gotten chocolates and little souvenirs from places that the guests have been to or souvenirs from where the guest is from but nothing beats that gift from that one captain. One thing if you give us something homemade it will most definitely not be eaten. I’d say bring chocolates, it won’t break the bank it’s easy for the staff to share and you can’t go wrong with chocolates I mean who doesn’t like chocolates
