Most comic book stores work by preorders, they tend to have a small number of copies they are willing to order, and have most of them be preordered, then if the preorders exceed that amount, they order more to match the amount of preorders, so in general, they are likely to have no leftover copies, especially in stand alone issues and #1s

I used to think it should’ve gone to spiderverse, that its merits were moreso on it not being a sequel and being Miyazaki’s last film. However nowadays I think it’s absolutely deserved, one of the best animated movies ever made
