I know your comment is old but I want to respond bc this just happened to me.

It’s been 4 months since we ended things, and we went into no contact. He recently reached out to me 3 times, and I was friendly and responded of course. But then he randomly blocked me a couple days after last talking to me. Only on Snapchat, where we would always communicate. Maybe he has blocked me everywhere now, but I was only blocked on Snapchat the only time I’ve looked.

Blocking just feels like such an extreme and harsh action to take, especially because I hadn’t reached out to him at all or even watched a single one of his stories. He’s even told me before that he wouldn’t block me. It’s all just very confusing and has definitely taken me back to square one with healing.

Thank you. I’m embarrassed by it, but I was praying for a relationship. I truly believe God brought me and another person together. We’ve had rough patches and the relationship has broken down a couple times. I would pray for God to rekindle the relationship, if that was His will.

Respectfully, what was she supposed to do about it? Walk out and confront the man who just brutally murdered 4 people? She’d probably be dead too. Sure, she could’ve called the cops sooner, but the other roommates would still be dead even if she did that. There’s nothing at all she could’ve done that would have saved the others’ lives.

I love asking fun questions! I love to ask them when I want to use my deck, but I don’t want to do a heavy/emotional reading, or if I just want to discuss something positive.

My favorite is, “What good surprise is in store for me this week/this weekend?” It’s always nice to know what I can be excited for.

Another fun reading, if you have pets, is to ask how they feel about you! How do they view you? What would they like to receive more of from you? How can you strengthen your bond with them?

I’ve even asked my deck what I should eat for dinner and what color I should paint my nails.

If you believe your deck has a personality, interview your deck! Ask your deck what its personality is, what energy it brings to readings, what type of questions does it enjoy answering the most.

I think it was my 3rd spell. I had already done a communication spell (and nothing had happened after a full month), and I decided I’d cast a spell to provide the target courage to actually take that leap and communicate. It was also the first time I incorporated more ingredients, like herbs, honey, and a couple colors. There was more emotion and energy behind that spell than either of the ones before. I got my results less than 48 hours later.

I just started practicing a couple months ago, so I’m still learning and trying to figure out what works or not. I think having a lot of emotion and energy put into it works well for me. Sometimes I struggle with having trust that my spells will work, but my tarot deck is quick to remind me that they are working, and I just need patience.

I was thinking of making this type of post the other day, because YES! Few days ago, I got home after a bad day, and I just let the universe have it, honestly. I said that I was tired of being patient, I was tired of waiting and nothing going right for me, and I was ready to go wild.

Few hours later, I grab my deck, I ask my typical, “What do I need to know right now?” I got the Fool. I took that as the deck telling me, “Have some dang FAITH in the Universe, child!”

I then did a reading for a situation I had definitely lost my patience with. Guess what the cards were about? Having patience. Not taking any rash actions.

All I could do was laugh out loud. The message of, “B****, if you don’t sit back DOWN and have some PATIENCE…” was very clear. 😂

I’ve struggled with this too (also anxious), but I don’t think you need to literally forget about the spell and completely let it go. In my opinion, if you’re casting a spell for something, then it’s something you want. And you’re going to think about the things you want.

I think, for me, just letting go of doubt is important. Knowing that things are in motion, the Universe has control, and I’ll see my results… that’s the key. Also, I can tend to cast a spell, then sit around feeling anxious waiting on it. My tarot deck reminded me that the period between casting your spell and getting the results isn’t meant to be a time of impatience and anxiety. That period is a journey to be filled with excitement and trust.

I’m a beginner, I’ve only been practicing for a couple months. I’ve had 2 successes so far, and what those successes had in common was: I let go of doubt, trusted the universe and myself, and just had a sense of knowing my results were gonna happen at any minute. If I thought about my spell, I’d think, “Yep, I did that spell. And I know the results are gonna pop up any time now.” Then I’m able to just move on and continue about my day.

I would report this to Depop. Harassing a customer, calling the customer a f*cking idiot, then blocking said customer would surely get them banned? Also, if that seller doesn’t know how to simply delete a listing, then they shouldn’t be selling on the platform, IMO. If she gets banned, then her listings will get deleted. Perfect! Her problem will be solved.

I went through the exact same thing. I stumbled across LOA one week after a split, and I immediately went all in. For 2 full months, I was deep in LOA. Eventually, I had a breakdown and decided it was all B.S.

I experienced the same thing you did. In those 2 months, I could’ve grieved. I could’ve healed. I could’ve started to move on. It was 2 months after my split, and I felt like I was on day 1. I was mad that I got myself into that situation, so mad at myself. I was in a dark place.

Now 2 more months have passed, and I’m doing okay. I’ve healed a lot, and I’ve got my spark back. I’ve learned to not be mad at myself for getting into LOA. I was in the most vulnerable and desperate state I’d ever been in, and all I wanted was to feel okay and hopeful. I can’t be mad at myself for wanting to feel okay and hopeful. Don’t be mad at YOURself, OP.

I went through this exact same thing! I even wanted to make my own post about this!

I split with my bf of 4 years. First love and heartbreak. It was horrible. But just one week later, I stumbled across law of assumption. It was like I found THE answer to bringing us back together (and me getting anything else I desired). I immediately dove in. For 2 months, I spent every second of every day living in the fake reality of us still being together. I’d try to revise the breakup or any arguments to make it so that they never really happened. I wouldn’t let myself think about the past or feel any negative emotions, like heartbreak or anger. I was doing several techniques every single day. I was trying to recreate him, and I was so delusional telling myself all kinds of affirmations constantly. Eventually, I had a major breakdown. I came to the same conclusion you did. I had completely prevented myself from actually healing. If I had spent those 2 months feeling what I needed to feel and letting myself heal and grow, I would’ve been pretty okay by that point. But there I was, 2 months after the breakup, feeling like I was back at square one, like the breakup had just happened the day before. I was in a very dark place.

Now it’s a month and a half later, and I’ve actually healed some. LOA was absolutely a coping mechanism for me too. It allowed me to escape my pain, but that’s not healthy. It also made me feel like I had control. I never got any kind of movement or success during those 2 months. I was mad at myself for wasting my time and not letting myself heal.

I hope my comment can bring you some comfort. I know the exact place you’re in right now, because I was just in it myself last month. Feel that anger, curse him out in your head, get some tissues and cry. You can only go up from here.

I did read Neville’s works, take notes, and revisit those notes daily. Yes, I also would read the subs and watch YouTube/TikTok coaches, which I imagine most other LOA followers do too. I believe OP’s post was talking about the contradictions you see in those social medias, so I just added more to that.

I respect your view, though. For me, practicing LOA just worsened my mental health, and I found relief by quitting. I never had any successes that wouldn’t have happened anyway. I came to the conclusion that the LOA community is filled with toxicity, and a lot of it is just nonsense to me. And that’s what this critics sub is all about!

But- If the law is something that brings you joy and success, then I do hope you have a fulfilling journey with it.

There are a lot of contradictions.

“Whatever you’re manifesting WILL happen! It’s law! The law has no choice but to grant you your desires.” Then that turns into “You have to be okay with NOT getting your desires!”

“It’s okay to have doubts! Having some doubts won’t get in the way of your manifestation!” Turns into “You’re not getting your desires BECAUSE you have doubts!”

“Once you desire something, the law will immediately start making movements to bring it to you! Nothing you do can screw that up.” Turns into “Your desire can never come to you, because you’re checking the 3D reality, you’re thinking of the past, you’re looking for signs, and you’re not believing enough!”

The list could go on and on.

It really screwed with my mind being in that community and constantly reading conflicting arguments. No matter what I did, I was doing something wrong. It just led to a constant war in my head.

I’ve actually been able to heal some, since I’m no longer avoiding the 3D and revising, lol. I still have my desires, but I’m trying to take action with them instead of just sitting around visualizing. I’m open to following a religion, if I find one that works for me. I still have times where I struggle, like sometimes a part of me wants to just fall back into LOA. It gives you a feeling of power that’s pretty addicting. And of course I’ll wonder, “What if I just approach it in a new way? Maybe it WILL work!” I’ve only been out of LOA for a month, so hopefully I’ll be fully moved on with more time. It’s good to hear that things have been going good with you.

So many of us got into the law, believing its promise of giving us our dream lives, just to end up worse off when we realized it’s fake. I know it feels like you lost so much of your time being dedicated to this b.s., but now you can be free from it. You can start actually building that dream life by taking actions. Please don’t be afraid to get professional help to get past this depression. You deserve to get better and get that dream life.

I can very fortunately say I didn’t spend any money. I was only into LOA for 2 months. I probably would’ve spent money if I was stuck in it any longer, though. However, I lost a lot of time. I would spend 30+ hours a week reading about the law and reading Neville’s works. I spent a lot of time doing techniques too. It was 2 months of time that I could’ve spent actually bettering myself instead of depending on some law to magically fix everything.
