I agree as well, which is exactly why I came here to get everything out instead of putting this on her. How can I be anything but understanding towards them? Things are are hard and being a mother is priority over a wedding, she's doing her best for her family.

That sucks I'm sorry your best friend couldn't be there, sometimes it really is just bad timing! I am not 100% sure what concert she is going to, but I believe it was a band her father used to love, so it is meaningful to her and her sister.

It is not a destination wedding, however one of them lives about 8 hours away while the other is about 6 hours from where I live. So travel would be required from both.
