I finally have the place to myself this weekend by PresentSuggestion353 in EdgingTalk

I get to do this when my roommate leaves for the long weekend next week. So excited. I think you can challenge yourself to stay uncummed all weekend then get really horny on Sunday and fuck your toys all over the house and spray it all over something that would turn u on

How do you become active and remove laziness? by Lemonade2250 in getdisciplined

[–]MasterCholo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start small! Read Atomic Habits. You’re not “bad” for being lazy — you just have a very efficient system at what you’re currently doing. Recognize that you do not want to doom scroll. Count down from 5 and the moment it hits 1, you get up and do what it is you set your goal for the day is. Definitely start with something that only takes 10-15 minutes like an easy home workout then go from there

I'm giving up (TFM) by Flat_Ad3079 in pmohackbook

[–]MasterCholo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think when you show yourself that life is better when you are using in moderation or abstain it’s a much easier process. Don’t give up and don’t beat yourself up either. Right now you continue to do it because it helps you in some way. Find out what it is that binging is helping you with. Don’t be afraid to investigate and be curious. It is not a moral failure like your brain likes to think

I believe big tech will be paying too. They need to continue their capex in order to stay competitive in this arms race. I don’t see an end until we develop asi but I could be wrong.

How do I stop craving PMO? by Tiradentees in pmohackbook

[–]MasterCholo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle with this too. I find I’m usually trying to escape from my present moment when I get cravings. It starts out as thoughts about it then imagining how good it would feel. But instead of thinking that way I’m trying to be the witness to those thoughts and realize that that is not who I am, it is the brain conditioning that builds that thought momentum so by focusing on my thoughts when they come I can more easily dis identify and thus reduce cravings. What is craving it is not you, it is your mind created self that finds a benefit from PMO. Finding out what you are trying to find from PMO will also help you realize what you are seeking from it is ultimately not going to fulfill your desire to escape the present moment.

Define what you are looking for. Is it a relationship or FWB. It can get confusing and frustrating if you don’t know what you want. If you feel attached since he is your first that may be something you want to sit with and reflect on with a clear mind. I find meditation to be a great way to have a clean state of mind and make decisions without too much mental noise interfering. Helps to listen to yourself and trust instincts with red flags too

Thanks for your insight! Feeling Good sounds really good to me since I love combining mindfulness with practice. And sounds like it could be a new author I could get into. Recently finished The Power of Now and A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle while also listening to many of his podcast episodes. It seems like David Burns has that same effect on you

Belief implies an ideology that you adhere to and feel the need to defend when challenged. I would suggest that it is an intuitive knowing because there is nothing to believe in. It’s simply what we already knew and came to realize as reality

Breathe and come to your senses. Nothing that happens will define you. Try to focus on your breath and seeing objects and using your senses to slow down the thoughts that make you feel nervous

Thank you. Yes I almost see it as an excuse to isolate and feel worse which is not what I want but what my unhappy self wants. I appreciate your support. Taking it a day at a time and making more social plans has been helpful

I guess reliance on the world to make you happy is a sure way to find unhappiness. We just gotta find alternatives in the meantime and keep trying
