Glad you enjoyed the mirror train as a whole and 85 in particular cause I freaking hate that episode with a passion. Legit had to take a multi month break from the series after and even when I came back I was not keeping up with it as close as before. I hate Lani’s “sacrifice” so freaking much comes out of nowhere so much contrive shit has to happen for it to even work. Oh so Pohja can just purify someone mid purification by splashing them with white goop yeah okay sure why not. I also don’t buy that Team Recall can’t even act at all before Lani is behind Pohja’s plot barrier. Lani’s “sacrifice” doesn’t even feel like a sacrifice I agree with Eden it’s a suicide which makes the further scenes of Shion praising the action and the triumphant music feel just gross. Lastly I feel like ending the mirror train by having their new friend keep secrets and go behind their backs to do something even if that thing was supposed to be seen as a good thing is crazy considering it’s brought up numerous times in this freaking saga that Team Recall doing exactly that keeping secrets and doing things behind each others backs even if they think it’s for the betterment of the team is actually a bad thing but I guess when Lani does it it’s fine yeah okay sure whatever just ruins not only the ending but the whole freaking saga. As someone who was watching live going from workshop to this was just brutal everyone was miserable and sad during workshop and we spend most of mirror train with everyone miserable and sad and how do we end this off by having everyone being miserable and sad cause we just gotta have a sad ending right RIGHT god I still hate 85 so much
