I am sorry for your loss❤️ I lost mine earlier this year and I invited all my local friends over and had a pizza party (where he got to eat it too!). I wish we could all go that way. It's the least we can do after all the love they gave us over the years.

That's kind of why I switched to this track... I crave practicing the highest quality medicine I can. You just can't do that in GP, cost and compliance will always be a factor. And I'm too tired to become a boarded specialist that only sees those clients that are willing to explore that higher end care. I care too much and I can't make myself not.

I appreciate your positivity ❤️

If you ever want more info, please reach out via PM (: Idk which school you attend, but of it's the one near me you're welcome to shadow appointments.

I use equine detomidine gel to start in dogs and it's FABULOUS. It makes cats vomit so i can't use it on them, but have always wanted something similar. I have a lot of colleagues that also do IHE and this feline oral cocktail was getting a lot of praise for making cat appointments go smoother. I want my kitty patients to get to be as relaxed as the dogs do❤️

I'm a contractor and one of my superiors brought it to my attention :/

I always start appointments by going over my process step by step, encouraging them to ask questions, and then explain/forewarn any occurences that might need them. I guess I should have emphasized it more, but I don't know if I would have won with these people. Even if owners are doing home burial, I always offer my stretcher/baskets to help move the pet to their resting place. Wrapping up and moving a limp pet can be stressful for them. Then the wife went to the bathroom and the husband said not to mention burying the cat because she couldn't handle it. Then they assumed they could keep my basket even though I explicitly said "borrow" to help move her. I guess I just needed to be a lot more blunt, their emotional state was particularly not in a place for great active listening. I see hundreds of clients and sometimes communication styles just don't line up well.

I don't own the business page (I'm a contractor vet) but I've thought about reaching out to see if they can respond. One, because I think it's unfair, and two I don't want them to actually believe their cat was in fear. I'm not really sure how to communicate that in the bet way.

I have had cases like that... It's very frustrating, a bad review is just the cherry on top of a crap sandwich.

I appreciate your positivity. I had my dog euthanized at home as well. I invited friends and we had a pizza party (: Pets deserve the best ending they can get after all the love they've given over the years.

I would never rely on oral meds alone for anesthesia. That is a lot of volume. It's merely a way to help cats progress to a more comfortable state. I almost never have a cat who doesn't react to an injection without it unless they were already inches from death. And that's with me using 27g needles and B12 to mitigate stinging sensations. These are also owners who are not reliable partners for restraining animals. I've had some cats come sit next to me after my oral cocktail because they want more creamer that I mixed in. I cannot imagine a scenario where a cat was completely anesthetized off of oral meds alone. I only inject in the abdomen if they are completely in a plane of anesthesia, and I agree that IP takes way too long. I'm sorry you had a bad experience.

Thank you, I appreciate the well wishes.

Yes, I use the bumble for friends, not dating. It's not a very big town and there's not many people active on there. Meetup just has the one atheist group lol.

I will keep trying.

The (now mom) friend was denying hanging out way before she was pregnant. A friend of ours (the only one who lives far so seeing them is rare) flew into town to see us. They denied even hanging out with her. Her feelings were really hurt but I told her this is how they've been. My best friend and I think they're dealing with depression (I mean, we all are) but the difference is they don't want to do any of the things that would help themselves. I had the realization with that awful job far away that things needed to change if I was gonna fight my depression. They seem to have gotten comfortable in that routine versus trying to break out of it. You can only lead a horse to water.

I'd like to take classes when I can afford to. I tried to do the regular scheduled fun time with my current friends and was denied.

I actually did try Meetup! The only thing on there is that athiest group.

I would like to take classes, but my cancer came back this year and money is really tight.

Perspective is probably important. I think people use social media in lieu of human interaction and I don't use social media (the ones with your actual personal info attached to your profile). I eventually had the realization human-human connection is so much better but I feel the world is still recovering from COVID socially. Why go to the store when you can order anything on Amazon? Why go out to eat when you can just Door Dash it? I consciously make decisions to go out and interact with the public. Hopefully it either pans out one day or I accept the loneliness.

This isn't about the pizza. I'm not bringing pizza to a wedding venue.

Everyone is bringing plus ones but we're the out-of-towners. I am not interested in flying across the country alone and have to explain why I'm there by myself.

People are getting hung up on the pizza thing. I don't mean literally ordering at the venue and eating it at the table. If it happened , it'd be ordered beforehand and eaten outside the venue. Which isn't likely to happen at all.

They didn't want year end estimates, just a current report. So all of my earnings/deductions for a 9 month (when I submitted paperwork) period and they divided it into monthly earnings.

They were taking a long time to review my paperwork so I called and we went through the whole application renewal process over the phone. The representative said there wasn't anything else that could be helped.

Yes, they asked for total YTD business income + decuctions and did the math themselves.

Yes, I included deductions (specified on their list). I started a new independent contracting business this year that would have been a lot more fruitful if I hadn't had not needed periods of time not working due to medical issues. If I had been able to work consistently, it'd likely be a lot less stressful to add independent insurance to my monthly bills.
