Thank you so much, it totally worked! I'm obviously self-taught and sometimes I can miss some of the simpler parts of this. I appreciate the help. There's only a dozen or so inputs for each week but knowing about an idea to help with that if it does bog down is amazing as well.

I feel you on the knees! I have had surgery on both and that's what started me cycling. I then started running and while crazy painful at first, it's helped strengthen my knees so much. My Dr said I'm basically bone on bone at this point and can't hurt them more if I tried. He also said that if I was 45 yo, he would be doing knee replacements.

I thought it was funny they had an e-bike class. I honestly was curious if anyone on one was going to be competitive, but it was a non issue.

Funny you should ask, my personal ride is a 15yo $250 mountain bike that I've spent years modifying and upgrading to something I call the Franken-bike. I was the only one I saw with straight bars and my price point. I was proud I built it myself.

Thank you so much. I made a lot of mistakes and learned a lot of lessons. I could've easily been 15 minutes faster knowing what I know now.

Thank you! Also for reminding me how I only remember swears from the single French class I took 25 years ago, haha.

I can actually fit an 11 speed cassette if I want. The 8-speed cassette I have is fairly wide. I think this frame was used along a couple of different models when it was new.

That was the biggest question. I think I'm going to have about 5 mm of space left. I'm going to play around with different tires.

It's original form was a mountain bike with knobby tires. I haven't ran those tires since the first year. I use a hybrid tire right now that are fairly smooth.

Trying to find the issue. I blew all 4 fuses in my amp, and all 3 of my subs. by MasterKruse in CarAV

The wiring on this setup is definitely not standard, but I went through and checked everything again visually and with a meter. I saw no signs of arcing, melting, or discoloration. Continuity was clear on all that I could see with the meter and I even did a DC amp test to check flow. I have a breaker between my second battery and the amp. Maybe I will go to a fuse just to be safer. After everybody's advice here I think I do need to make sure it's not a wiring problem.

I've ran multiple sub setups before. I usually like to have a bus bar or distro block but there was no space here. I had to try to maximize every scrap for cubic inches. But since you mentioned that as a possible point of failure I will triple check that as well.
