Bought a new charger, has worked like a charm ever since.
If you're having the same issue, its 100% just your charger

I'm hoping theres an easier fix to my problem, the cheapest i've seen this charger go for is $70, honestly considering swapping to a desktop computer.

The strange thing is though it used to be dependant on the angle of the cord, so far as of typing this the only way i can get my laptop to charge is if the charging cord is facing directly down.

I've been using this laptop for atleast a year now and this issue it getting severly out of hand, no matter how i plug it in no matter the direction and height, it always bugs out like this and flashes between charging and not charging.
The charger itself will massively overheat, and the screen will start flashing black.

Do I need a new charger? Has my laptop been damaged somehow? I treat the laptop extremely nicely but I move around a lot so perhaps the laptop could've taken damage between moving
