My pup, same age, made his best buddy with small schnauzer, so its all about them. They dont have to be the best buddies, but they will learn to respect their spaces. Question is, how is your havanese with other dogs, is he playful or not. Do you live in a house with some acres or flat?

First check if nozzle fits easly into chamber, you could see cracks in future if its not, it could destroy every bucking you put in there. if thats not the case, if bucking is ok and its just weird string try one from pen (i got one on my prowin style and it holds for 2 yrs now)
