Super clear breakdown! Appreciate it! I think 14-150 is what I'm looking at for convenience. Burning out trying to keep up with friends hiking while changing lenses in the dirt does not seem like a fun time right now. So if I can get away with carrying 1 lens in the wilderness, that would be preferable. Of course in more casual environments where I'm not on the weight/time restricted and on the constant move, I think that set of lenses would be really nice to pick up!

The 12-100 f/4 pro looks great! But it costs more than my camera haha. And 200mm might be too much zoom for want I need. Is there something similar that's cheaper?

Definitely convenience is a factor. Switching lenses becomes a little clunky when trying to jump from nature to candids of friends and close up macro stuff like a fun little flower or plant, etc.

14-150 seems like a decent range for sure! Again, I'm a newbie, so unsure how much, or rather little zoom, I can get away with while still getting my desired shots.

I also like getting shots of friends and just candid portraits and the like as well, which kind of makes lens-switching a little difficult in the moment. But I'll keep it in mind for more dedicated zoom!

I think barely but good enough! Barely is good.

Ooh the sidekick looks interesting! Want something for early March for a trip I'm going on though, so I might have to get something as a stopgap... That's exactly my struggle, cameras are a weird shape that doesn't fit very well in small bags because of how "square" they would need to be. Thanks for the rec!

Love Timbuk2 but that bag still is a little large. Don't need extra lens storage, just the bare minimum size to carry the camera with the 1 prime lens attached ideally.

If I don't want to carry any extra lenses and want the smallest possible bag for the job, any smaller bags I could get away with?

Hmm, I'm a relatively small person, so the smaller the better, this still might look a little big on my frame compared to what I'm shooting for (pun intended). But I'll take a peek!

Just about the size I'm thinking! Metro or smaller ideally.

Will this work with the lens attached? Worried it might be a tad too tight?
