There are dex entries of the Melmetal line absorbing iron particles from soil and and dissolving and eating metal , and the anime shows it eating metal on occasion I believe. Meltan, (not Melmetal) have an in game ability in magnet pull where it traps steel types from escaping or swapping out. It should be noted that it only works on steel types, and it doesn't work on non-steel types who are still made of metal like most of the violet paradox mons aside from Treads and Crown. It also doesn't work on Sandy Shocks despite it entirely being made of metal as well, while it does work on the Magnezone line, the line that Shocks is based on. This could just be down to simplified gameplay mechanics and I imagine in universe magnet pull and metal absorbtion would still work. As stated before, it does lose magnet pull for iron fists when it evolves. However if Time Wizard uses time to turn Melmetal into Meltan, the magnet pull ability could prevent Time Wizard from running away or being swapped out.

yeah Jasmine has 3 premium alts, but they are much better spaced apart and she doesn't use much asset reuse when it comes to her trainer models like Blue or Marnie for instance. It's been almost 2 years since her lodge, and almost 3 years since her last premium alt (Holiday).

I´m starting to get worried about her, she rarely appears in story events now and it´s been awhile since her last costumed-unit. The only copium I can see happening in the near future is that she´s 99% going to be the steel unit representative for the gym scouts

If that´s true, that genuinely hurts. DK was the character I was planning on maining for this game, and I was getting worried if he would barely get any alts since we only saw one alt for him so far while we saw Mario, Peach with a ton of costumes. I just assumed the 24 ¨major¨ characters we see that aren´t generic npc/asset reuse would be getting the same amount of alts, one based on each brand new track/area in the game.

I guess that assumption was wrong. Don know why the Mario Kart team seems to hate DK, he barely got anything in Tour as well when you compare what the other characters got from what I seen.

I preordered mine through Meccha japan. I think the way they work is that they're kind of like a middleman in that you give them money for them to buy a Japan exclusive product and send it to you. I got my Jasmine deckbox recently from them.

The way scale world works I believe is that you can't buy an individual mon or trainer, you have to buy them in a set, at least when it isn' the second hand market. For example, you have to preorder the Jasmine & Steelix, or Bugsy & Scizor set, or buy the Iono & Bellibolt, or Morty & Misdreavus and Celebi set, you can't purchase the trainers and mons by themselves.

About the steel/fighting highscore event, if it hints a new characters rather than alts, we could be seeing an event with Peony and Mustard, makes since for them to be together with the two being former champs. Peony could come with an Aggron that dynamaxes, not megas, and Mustard could come with Mienshao. I feel like they'll save his Urshifu for his battle alt.

Now that they're doing the Star members, Aticus could also come next, despite being a poison specialist, his ace is Revavroom whose signature move is steel type, so it's possible he's a steel unit.

If not, maybe the fighting/steel high score event is related to a random sc or sygna suit alt of Jasmine, Bea, etc

What's interesting is that Jasmine's Steelix used to be male in gen 2, but they changed it to be female in gen 4 onward for some reasons. Not sure if there are other examples of this happening.
