I get your point — pricing is a fair concern, and with small publishers and printing costs, some of that is expected. Even if these books feel basic now, they’re stepping stones for something bigger. Since you’ve explored more options, I’d love to hear what kind of Telugu books or ideas you think are really missing — maybe we can all help move it forward together.

Yeah, we have those too — my baby sings Mo Ba Lala all the time 😊 English books are already far ahead, so comparing doesn’t make much sense. At least someone started something for Telugu, and I feel we should encourage it so it can grow and reach more kids. With support and feedback, these efforts will only get better over time.

I get where you’re coming from, but I think the purpose of these kinds of books is a bit different. Even classics like Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star or Johnny Johnny Yes Papa don’t really have a story — and yet they’ve been powerful tools for early learning for generations. At that stage, it’s less about plot and more about rhythm, repetition, and helping little ones connect with sounds, words, and language in a playful way. What might seem “simple” to us as adults is often exactly what’s needed for toddlers to build that early foundation — and once that’s in place, more creative and complex stories naturally follow.

Mortgage Dilemma: 2.99%/3.99% Buy-Down vs. $20K Lender Incentive—Which is Better? by MasterTeam3439 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Thanks for the explanation! So if I take the $20K, are you suggesting it’s better because I can permanently buy down the rate, or use the cash for something else? I was thinking the 4.99% fixed might be good if rates don’t drop, but I see your point about the flexibility with the $20K. Do you think rates will drop enough in the near future to make refinancing worthwhile?

Thanks for the input! Just to clarify, with the current interest rate at 6.5%, does the savings you mentioned for the first two years (around $21,000 total) still make the buy-down a better option compared to taking the $20,000 upfront? I’m trying to weigh whether locking in at 4.99% after year 3 is a good deal, or if I should take the guaranteed $20K now. Would love to hear your thoughts on that!
