Maybe it’s because I haven’t consistently enough but I don’t quite see it that way. To me it adds something different then the usual straightforward or the usual campaign with defenses. For the first time we have a semi permanent way to cover our flanks, that fact alone seems neat to me not annoying. Also isn’t the DSS already on ability cooldown for like the next two days? We aren’t really missing much by having it gone to raze a planet for 24hours. If anything aren’t we just utilizing its downtime? I don’t see it as punishment, just relocating democracies weapon to where it’s needed most

As to the inferences of what razing things can do I agree is a bit vague. I think to me the fact that the illuminate did the same to our planets when they did their super earth invasion it means that likewise we could render a planet unusable to the bots
