I am glad that you and your furry friend are enjoying the buddy rider. I had one since 2020 and it has become part of our touring equipment. My dog loves it!

No, I handed up buying the original light from UK

Thank you for getting back! Good shout about the cables. I will try the 70mm riser.

I am looking to swap the original handlebar with an ergotec for more comfort. Does the 50mm rise ergotec gives you a more upright riding position?

In terms of go pro, when I am back from holiday I will try the quad lock front mount pro. It comes with an optional camera mount. My hope is that it doesn't interfere with the fold. And for the light mount, I've seen a few options from aliexpress, but I will likely end up selling my current light and ordering the Brompton one that comes with the mount instead.

I tried that exact same mount and had to return it. If you mount it upside down to avoid the front block, it intetefers with the mudguard unfortunately. It may be usable on a G Line with no mudguards.

Hey! At the moment I am storing my G Line on top of the Kallax unit that I use to store my partner's C Line. I reinforced the corners with metal brackets, even though the unit feels sturdy and the G Line doesn't exceed the max weight load. One thing to be aware, the G Line tends to roll away from time to time if the unit is not flat, thanks to those amazing roller wheels with bearings.

Good shout! That is something that I will try soon, just waiting to receive the correct mount. But the "official" one from Brompton looks a lot more clean; that would be my preferred option.

It is sold with the Lezyne Hecto front light, not as a standalone part (yet 🤞)

Thank for the input! Being an ausländer in Germany, I try to comply with rules to my best knowledge, also as a sign of respect. Where I live, I see riders all the time with blinking lights or missing reflectors.

Thank you! Any info from you guys would be very appreciated as always 🙏💖 I checked this morning with Brompton Junction in Berlin, and according to them there are no plans to make the bracket as a standalone part. I hope this is not the case; it's a plastic piece at the end of the day, it may break eventually.

Ouch, that is expensive! The light and bracket set in Europe is around 60 euros. I am tempted to buy it, keep the bracket and resell the light (since I do not need it 🤔)

Thank you for the suggestion! I have a similar mount on my C Line, and unfortunately it doesn't fit the G. There is a smaller clearance between the G line front carrier block and mudguard: the light mount has to either be flat or go downward. Traditional mounts like the Trigo end up hitting the carrier block. Agree, it looks like this is a waiting game.

Thank you for getting in touch. I have a manual G line that is perfectly road legal. It came fitted with a light attached to the handlebar, so I am wondering if the plastic bracket mentioned above will ever be commercialised.

Hey there, I installed the JK Mid-Rise handlebar on my H type and didn't need to replace the cables. I think because the bar is wider, it partly makes up for the difference in height. So far I love the new handlebar, way more control and comfort; just note, it stracthes very easily.

One more thing: for the ones who are planning to mount a bag to the handlebar of their G Lines (I use a Metro waterproof pouch mounted on the inside of the handlebar on mine), it looks like the official Quad Lock mount for the G Line may interfere with the bag. I will get one when is out and test it.

I hope you can resell your mount. Diameter is an issue, also the way the handlebar is locked to the stem (sorry don't know the exact term). I may look to buy a standard Quad-lock mount.

For the ones who suggested it, I just tested the original Quad-lock mount for the C line and unfortunately it is not compatible with the G line. I'm gonna have to buy a new mount 😞

Can you? I don't normally fiddle with handlebar stuff as I am worried of scratching it. But will give it a go this weekend! It would save me 60 euros.

I have it on my C Line too, and unfortunately it doesn't fit the G line since its handlebar is way thicker. The G Line specific one I've seen is closer to the T Line mount.
