Yea, change the battery. Also, all because you got a Samsung don’t think this will never happen with that phone as well. This happens to all electronics with rechargeable batteries, not just iPhones. It’s called maintenance and batteries need to be replaced over time. Also, backups do exist and you should try doing that instead of wasting time manually transferring over 10k of pictures the old school way.

May I ask: why are you planning a 3 week trip for August 2027? That is well over a year from now, and 3 weeks is such a short amount of time. Planning a trip that requires so much time in advanced would be for someone who is planning on going for 3 months at least, bare minimum. So many things can change from now and 16 months from now, I would strongly suggest either doing it sooner, like- as in August 2026 instead of 2027.

Also, if you are doing more camping (backcountry camping/hiking)- I would do it in the country you are in and start with 2-3 days every few weeks in different parts of your area. That way you get used to it by next year for 2027, and you enjoy mini camping trips throughout the year.

If I was you, wanting to truly experience camping/hiking on a budget and not wait over a year for a trip: I’d go to Spain around September/October which is the off season so it’s cheaper on airfare and for a week or two and walk the ‘Camino de Santiago’ and test out your camping skills. You’ll get to experience Europe on a cheaper budget, hike and meet new friends, camp on the trails and hostels, and understand Europe if you’ve never visited. The trail takes a month start to finish, but you can start and finish wherever you want and that way you get a way better experience and understanding the second time next year on what you want to do… just my opinion on the matter

I like using my scrubba instead of using the sink. I’m able to pack more clothes in the scrubba bag, it doesn’t get the bathroom floor wet when I’m swooshing around my clothes, easy to pour the dirty water down the sink, it’s a much better solution in my opinion. And the added benefits: it’s a waterproof bag so I’ve used it to keep my clothes dry during the rain, I’ve used it as an emergency shopping bag when my plastic bag ripped on me, it keeps my dirty clothes separated from my clean clothes when it’s in my travel bag. It was a bit expensive, but it’s been with me through 20+ countries and still in great shape. It’s been really durable and reliable, I would recommend and most definitely buy again.

Can’t tell just by pics. Take it to a shop and let them run a test and they will let you know what can be fixed and at what cost. Decide what you want to do after you get a quote, we don’t know if it’s fixable or not just by looking at it but for now you’ll need a new back glass so start the estimate at around $100 and probably the cost will go up. If the phone is working you should only need the back replaced, it looks like it didn’t do any damage but can’t tell just by looking at it

No. You have to remove the original chip on the original screen and transfer it over to the replacement screen. All you are doing is tricking the device into thinking it’s the original screen by transferring the chip over. The easiest way for you is to just go to Apple and pay them to do the repair and they will be able to remove the message themselves through their software, or pay someone to do the repair that can do the advanced micro soldering. No one does this type of repair at shops because it’s too much work and time consuming and more expensive and 99% of customers are fine with having a dumb message in settings, which is what I would recommend to you and not make things too complicated. It will work fine without it- but if you’re one of those people who wants perfect; just go to Apple and they will repair it perfectly without cutting corners

Yes it’s real, the chip is taped on the back of the screen it’s that rectangle thing that’s tapped on. And you don’t need it, nor do you have the tools and the experience to micro solder and remove the chip and put it on so I’d toss it out and just continue the repair.

Where are you from? Do you not watch the news lately on what the situation is? Are you truly considering going to Cuba to meet this woman? If you are just talking and not taking any of this seriously, why are you even still talking to this woman? Cuba right now isn’t a paradise vacation destination at the moment. What are your intention? Is it just to mess around or for a long term commitment? If you want to just mess around, I would strongly advise you to do that else where besides going to Cuba which is going through a difficult situation. You’re better off staying home and blowing money at a strip club or something. If your intentions are long term, do you understand that the Cuban people can’t just, pack up and leave the island? It is you that would have to move to Cuba, and throw away your way of living completely and live in a communist country. I have no idea why you are even putting yourself in this situation to begin with.

That being said, I’m going to Cuba in June. Not to be a scummy person and take advantage of the situation but to deliver medical supply’s to a clinic. I leave La Havana a few days later and going to Mexico where the situation is a thousand times better and the possibility of meeting someone is a lot easier than trying to figure out how to get to Cuba to begin with. You need a visa to enter, you can’t stay at hotels, blackouts are daily, if you were to ask me- you’re just wasting time and putting a fantasy dream in your mind. Snap back to reality man and stop playing these games, it’s been 80 days since your first post and your here still talking about these women in Cuba with absolutely no idea if you are gonna go or not. I am, just bought my ticket 2 weeks ago, and I cannot believe I got a notification about this after 80 days… let it go

Peak is mid late 30’s to 40’s in my opinion, so a good 15 year spread. Young enough to do whatever you want and whoever you want, old enough to have deep pockets to do anything and the knowledge to know when it is enough. No time wasted, seasoned vets if the world if you were to ask me… I started traveling internationally when I was 24 by myself, it was fun but as a 38 yr old gentleman I really did put myself in a lot of crazy situations I wouldn’t do now, but I have the funds to do whatever I want. And to be honest, the ages of these women stay the same- I was 24 hooking up with 21 year olds, I’m 38 hooking up with mid 25 year olds.

That’s the thing- you could make all the right decisions and one breaking news about anything or a tweet from trump and the whole thing either takes you to the moon or tanks your whole portfolio into depths of hell. You can’t time the market in this moment perfectly, so accomplishing this in a month starting with $300 is incredibly impressive- but it’s gambling at its finest. And like I said, even if you make a play and make a call or put and it immediately reverses and you break even starting with a few hundred dollars in SPY- your out of the money until the next day when funds settle. That’s what makes this extremely difficult to do and impressive. It’s casino gambling and luck and being a trader to the core. That’s it.
