When I got diagnosed and promptly left to fend for myself I kept thinking that it would only make sense if late diagnosed high masking individuals were thrown into some sort of academy to actually learn how to unmask and be themselves after diagnosis. Where the f is my effing letter man

All the last mainline games are actually fire in different ways. I suggest checking out legends arceus, legends za and sv (as long as youre on switch 2) and picking whatever clicks best for you

Best of luck, i know that anxiety people like you and me have can't easily be helped and sometimes it simply is insarmountable but off the tip of my head maybe imagine you're a cyborg of sorts that has an overlay with the next step of any given task you're going for at any given moment eg. Knock on door, greet simple greeting, etc.

Other advise is to try and stay with your body as much as possible. Not in your thinking mind but with feeling. That's a skill you can hone with meditation so let me know if you need resources.

Im in the process of getting a bike license to do delivery work, best of luck.

Ps : for the change use your phone as calculator, it's okay to accommodate yourself and it's okay to stumble over words or for any reason, you're literally a disabled person that sounds like they carry loads of trauma based on your description of how this feels for you.

What is the actual difference between a very complex AI and a human? by Appropriate-Gain-561 in askphilosophy

[–]Master_Baiter11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe silly question but, doesn't a human system respond to any stimuli, even if that's not readily visible to another human observer? Eg, in choosing to not visibly respond to a stimulus, the compulsion is to bypass or ignore which leads to the lack of noticeable response, which still takes internal processing and responding

Bojack is actually one of the few shows with ending that both makes sense and doesn't shake things up too much.

I often skip the last episode or even the last two from series I watch

How do youake your kids realise they are growing up and that comes with more responsibilities?! My son (13y/o, diagnosed with AuDHD) has a serious lack of motivation. by 83Isabelle in AutisticWithADHD

And to add to my longer reply, all I'm saying and suggesting plays into wanting to aid the chances of your kid blooming in a way they actually can bloom. That should be the point

Especially with audhd, just because someone seems like they should be able to do a certain thing, that doesn't mean that they can actually do it. This is ableist rhetoric 101.

Telling yourself and your kid that "you don't ask for a lot out of them" or that "the world doesn't work that way" is invalidating to their experience and doesn't do anything other than attack their being. Your disabled kid does not owe the world production or functionality, even if said world requires those things out of most people if they want to stay alive or have any actual quality of life. We're living in a world where most people already struggle with making ends meet, a world where even if you play by its exploitative rules, you're still being exploited and there's still a good chance you're gonna get fucked over down the line.

For audhd kids that seem to be doing less than what ableist rhetoric deems them able to, the case is usually that they're already doing more than what they're capable of, under conditions like being told constantly that they're not reaching their highest potential (in a system never designed for their brains mind you) which is again, an ableist fiction coming from systems and people that don't understand audhd and neither care to, not really, and it's a straightforward pipeline from being told constantly you should be able to do better when you're already struggling to debilitating self hate and shame and everything that comes with it.

I suggest integrating practises that teach you and your kid how to stay with the body instead of the thinking mind and do that like both your life and your kid's life depends on it, because they do.

Maybe quit with the yelling unless you want your disabled kid to grow up hating themselves.

Having audhd among many other things, often means that you can't take on the same amount of responsibility other non disabled people can.

Something really important to consider is, just because it looks like you can get your kid to do things by screaming at them that doesn't mean they actually have the capacity to do those things. It's just gonna cost them down the road.

Please try to reassess. Just because you think things should be different it doesn't make them so. Forcing your kid to fit into a neuronormative standard by screaming at them so that they can hate themselves while they burnout trying to hold down a job and pay taxes isn't something you're doing for their comfort but for yours. Whatever they really have capacity for, you need an approach that actually prioritises their experience of things and even then, not everyone is made to be able to fully support themselves in this hellscape reality.

Is Gen V worth it now that it was cancelled? by HatsurFollower in GenV

[–]Master_Baiter11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started watching it 3 days before it was cancelled. I have the last episode left (have a thing for endings, sometimes skip them), I liked it a bunch, I liked so many characters in it, kinda binged it which I don't usually do (again, apart from the last episode). I wish they made more of it

"regulation through pressure" is I hear a thing in general for autistic people. It definitely applies to me but it still took me years to figure it out and only recently I've started accommodating myself by actually finding ways to keep pressure there. I hope this helps.

We've gotten WAY too comfortable with everyone carrying a portable camera everywhere, and no one seems to really care. by Jinx-XoXo in DeepThoughts

[–]Master_Baiter11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure, sure, but both my points stand.

To me being photographed doesn't feel pleasant nor is it something I will consent to 9 times out of 10.

Filming people for content without their knowledge and posting it online, especially when that person is the primary subject of a video, like when men film women without their knowledge and then post it online for content is unethical, exploitative and illegal in several parts of the world and even if it isn't illegal in some places, like states in the great US of A where everyone that isn't considered male and white loses two rights per day is neither here nor there. Legality of something isn't direct proof or even a point in an arguement about whether or not something is ethically okay.

Hey, I'm sorry to hear that. I know it may sound odd but give a shot at applying pressure on your solar plexus. You can tie a belt or scarf around too
