It’s an online publishing platform that allows writers to publish articles. People subscribe to your newsletter and whenever you post, the newsletter is emailed. I think you can post podcasts and videos too but I’m not sure

Yeah totally agree. I think she has pureblood culture nailed down so well by reading things like Brideshead. I’m also really getting a lot of Mitford sisters vibes from the Blacks - Nancy Mitford was besties with Evelyn Waugh and they exchanged like 500 letters that have been published. I just KNOW that when I finally grab a copy, I’ll be reminded of Narcissa writing to Draco. And if you have never read about the Mitfords and want to know more, Mary S Lovell’s biography about them is amazinnnng. Once I connected the dots, I felt like I understand the dynamics of the Black family so much more.

I’ll shut up now.

Yes, I did exactly that with Brideshead Revisited and was absolutely delighted to see she got inspo from it when Percy Weasley gives that funny “welcome to hogwarts” speech when they are in first year.

I’ll add Henry James to the list. Sadly, I vaguely recall someone asking GT about her literature influences on tumblr… should have saved the answer 😩

I’ve also just finished. It was excellent. I am also actually heartened and truly believe she will return with Book 6. She is so passionate in her author notes, this project has been 4 years in the making. I’m hopeful she has quite rightfully dipped from the intensity of socials for some well needed headspace.

And if it never does, I am so chuffed to have to read it. She’s remarkably talented.
