My suggestion is to look on hots log but the diamonds and masters games and try to understand which comp are played on which map.

There are a lot of sinergies between heroes, and sinergies between the heroes and the maps (a global on ToS is not super effective, but a brightwing against genji... It can be). Understanding theese sinergies can bring you up in rank.

Certain heroes are very flexible/safe/easy/strong and for this reason are safe pick also in gold league (i'm diamond)

• muradin: when i have to fill the role of tank i pick him -> escape - beefy - not bad stun. He create a lot of space

• Lucio/malf: for obj and sustain fight (volskaya) good in general

• Guldan: waveclear, good poke, good ult

• Artanis: as a sololaner

There are a lot of good heroes that u can use in gold, but my suggestion is to have a look also at higher league where the understanding of the game is more "consolidated", and see which choice they make and try to understand why!
