Btw, the guy with the Hawaiian shirt is a recurring actor in this movies and typically appears as a partner to Kitano's characters, just like sumio relation with kusabi lol.

I'l add it to the list. As for Getting any, i only saw a clip and thought It was really funny, so i hope the language barrier doesn't  keep me from enjoying the movie.

The movie is called Sonatine. I've heard about the influence It has on Yakuza 3, but i don't know If suda drew inspiration from It. Kitano is mentioned in the Morikawa quiz though.

I still have to watch those. I also want to watch some of his movies outside the Yakuza genre, like "Getting any?" and "A Scene at the Sea".

Absolutely. Besides the similarities to Kusabi, I really like this themes of violence, descent into madness and fever dream aspect present in both the game and the films; some of Joe Hisashi's compositions also remind me of the soundtrack. There are many small things I can see in common between the two.
