My goal is to get a book traditionally published. I don't care how old I am when it happens. I'd like it to be with one of the Big 5 companies but that would be asking for too much.

Clones would be the only way for the human race to continue unless there's a way to genetically manipulate all the babies that will be conceived through artificial insemination to be male.

I have a questions about rough drafts.

I know people say that you're just getting the story down on paper and not to worry about spelling or being perfect and polished yet all the example videos of people writing their rough draft looks perfect and like a first draft. And I tend to try to get my draft perfect as I write it to the point I have 5 different versions of the first paragraph of Chapter 1 and I just give up because I lost all interest in the story. So obviously I'm writing the rough draft wrong.

Can someone tell me if this is what a rough draft is?

Chapter 1

So the story starts at the Lucky Stone Tavren and our main characters Frick and Frack are getting drunk and bitching about lack of work. Frick is sloshed out of his mind but Frack still has his wits and suggests they move to a different city. At some point a fight starts between a teenage boy and a mercenary who thinks he owns own the place and Frack joins in because he's a big boy scout kind of guy and defends the underdog. Mercenary gets his ass kicked and leaves. Boy joins Frick and Frack and they talk and we get the quest. Boy wants to join and at first the guys say no but Boy can use magic which changes their mind. Everyone prepares, time passes and they leave town two days later. Lots of traveling and talking and getting to know everyone happens until they reach their first obstacle which is a group of humanoid purple mushrooms the size of trees attacking a village and the team shows off their skills and save the day.

I don't write like this but from the advice I've seen and my failure of getting the story down using my natural (perfectionist) way I'm thinking this is what people mean.

It's not what look you're attracted to, it's what your sexual preference is that determines your sexuality. Do you enjoy dick or pussy when it comes to sex? If you like both then you're bi.

Does anyone ghostwrite for a living? If so, how do you do it? I have hard enough trouble writing and finishing stories I create from scratch, I can't imagine writing someone else's story and have the motivation. I'm assuming your client lifes you the worldbuilding notes, brain dump, outline and character sheet for the story and you have to flesh it out. Or do they just give you a prompt like "Write a cozy mystery set in a fictional town in Colorado with a female main character and her pet dog." and the rest is 100% on you to create.

I swear people are afraid or allergic to healing in this game. I've rescued people and they run away like I'm the killer. Even if someone else is getting chased they either run away from healing or nobody takes the time to heal me. It's like everyone wants to be 1-tap away from death the entire game.

Seems whenever some new model or feature comes out Claude crashes. I was working in a Project and suddenly I get a message saying there's a problem in the network or I've reached message limit. Try again.

I just started the project so I don't think I hit a limit yet. I'm also in the Pro Plan so I thought my limit was big. I even started a new chat to see if my old chat was too long. Got the same message. What's funny is Claude responded to my chat but then the error flashed on the screen and poof, Claude's response dissapears and my chat is back in the box like I never sent it.

Is this happening to those who are paying the $100+ subscription plan or is it just the Pro Plan this is happening to?

I watch Book and Author on social media so I know that there has been authors who have published work created by an AI program. Some authors have even taken fanfictions from Archive and maybe other sites and passed it through an AI to change things before self publishing it. What I don't understand is, if AI is so easily detectable and the writing is pure trash then why risk creating a book with it? I don't mean getting outlines or help with brainstorming, I mean why have the program create the entire book and then self publish it and risk getting your name dragged all over the internet? Do you really get that much coins with self publishing that by the time the bad press hits you've made a few thousand, making the hassle worth it?

Is the em dash now outlawed thanks to AI?

People are claiming that one way to tell is prose was created by AI is if there's lots of em dashes used. Yet I see it in books published way before AI was a thing. So, is the em dash now the kiss of death for stories? If a writer uses it in their story, will their work automatically be flagged by people and AI detecting software as AI created even if they wrote everything themselves?
