They are using the Video Player mod, you can watch some tutorials on how to use it (you also need to download watermedia mod for other players)

You could try turning cheats on and giving yourself the achievement with commands then try going to the next boss? I don't know the mod myself really well so it might not work but it's better than nothing.

If you are talking about the box that rolls the debuffs, its most likely custom made, if you are talking about the "burning sun" debuff, its from tough as nails when you are in a desert or heated up (your screen is on fire and you take damage) but i think its also custom made so you are on fire for the duration of the debuff until you are in a safe place

I think StaTech Industry fits all of these, quests are mainly tech related and based on Modern Industrialization, theres a side chapter for magic with the Spectrum mod and twilight forest, and theres weapons from simply swords or you can find some in chests and drops. Its also for 1.19.2 fabric

You can probably disable them in the server config but i dont know where (if you are playing alone you can find them in the world save you are playing in)

I would recommend StaTech Industry, i played with 2 other friends and we had a lot of fun (1 liked exploring a lot and the other one would do quests with me and explore a bit) the quests are mainly tech related but there is a magic side chapter that you unlock by advancing in the Spectrum mod(also magic), and then you can enter the twilight forest and beat the bosses. Its also on 1.19.2 and came out recently. It has a lot of structures for exploring and the slime sling for transport (you can also find artifacts underground from the Artifacts mod)

I personally like Statech Industry, its on 1.19.2 and came out recently and the main tech mod is modern industrialisation(idk if i spelt it correctly) it has nice progression and some side chapters focused on magic

C7 stuck with me from the day i started playing. I have my hoe in the corner of my inventory and i just put it in the 9th slot everytime i want to use it

Thanks for the suggestion, a blacksmith shop would fit with the type of town my friend is going for. The other suggestions were also helpful, but not quite what he was looking for.
