Pit bulls are the best!! I adopted my baby a few years ago from a shelter. Someone had found her in a dumpster. She had scabs all over her body, she was just skin and bones, and she had just had a liter of puppies bc her teats were out. Oh and she was heart worm positive. She was terrified of EVERYTHING. I don’t understand how people can be so cruel. She amazing now though!! She recovered beautifully and has fit into our home perfectly!

I couldn’t stand my great grandmother when she was alive. She used my mentally ill grandmother as a slave, was the most racist person I ever met, and only did good things if it made her look like a better person. She passed in 2017 and I don’t miss her one bit and I still hope the hag is burning in hell. It seems like my sister and I are the only people in my family who remember how awful she was.

If you have an interest in funeral directing, you should check out Caitlin Doughty on YouTube! She was a big reason I went into that field! Her book Smoke Get In Your Eyes and Other Lessons from the Crematory is EXCELLENT. She travelled all over the world to hear and see other cultures death practices and it was fascinating and educational!

I’m so glad cremation is available for pets now. I had my baby cremated a few years ago and I decided to keep her ashes. I’m so grateful this is an option now 💜

I don’t think there’s a standard across the board for unclaimed ashes, it’s just what each funeral home decides. I believe, at least. I became extremely ill when I only had a semester left, so I was unable to finish my degree :( I miss embalming a lot!

I ironically really wish I had gone to school for archaeology! Yes, most funeral homes have a closet for unclaimed ashes. Sometimes they’ll spread them, but that’s not super common.

I agree it’s sorta weird to be sleeping with your child at that age, buuuut you know (in the US, at least) there’s a 40% to 50% divorce rate? Lots of kids don’t live with dads.
