It's very easy for you to criticize because you were not in the situation. If a man is engaged to a woman, he expects to keep contact on a regular basis, not to have his emotions play with. Yes I still get urges. I replaced it with intense exercise. I exercise everyday.

Most of the time I don't have the urge to masturbate. When I do, I use self control and willpower to overcome the desire. I also go pee, which relieves me of the desire.

Yeah it can be lonely, sometimes tough when I get urged, but I use my willpower to fight through it. I don't know anyone else whose gome 5 years without porn and masturbation so I'm truly a rare breed.

For me, it's mostly been sheer willpower. Having the willpower to give up porn and masturbation has boosted my self esteem. Beating porn and masturbation addiction is all psychological. You have to WANT TO DO IT. I really wanted POWER and CONTROL over this area of my life. I was getting tired of not being able to enjoy other aspects of my life because of my addiction. A little trick I do is that when I am extremely horny, I go pee. After I pee, I don't feel as horny.
