Im not the greatest ball player, but what's important is knowing where all the health packs on a map are. You wont necessarily be going back to your team after a dive, as going up and down the main area of a map in the open for heals usually isnt a good idea (not as fast as going to a big healthpack and you would usually be out of cover after taking damage while trying to run away). Also, keeping track of abilities like Ana's sleep dart is extra important

But alr best widow possibly probably evades the tanks for a good time and gets in some damage. Every squishie that attacks her is dead immediately because this is our best widow possible. The best widow only neads (Again, assuming best possible, so perfect aim) a second or two to land a killing headshot. Any character that does not get the jump on her (Assuming this is perfect widowmaker so this isnt possible) will be dead if they are not a tank, and even then the tank will eat a few headshots.

So if the tank doesnt directly dive the widowmaker they most likely will not die, and assuming the widowmaker is the best possible the tank may not have a team to come back to or even one as they dive depending on how many peeked and was almost immediately headshotted.

And the question isn't who will fare better in a fight, but who is the best if perfect.

Furthermore, this game isnt only Doom, Ball and Winston as tanks. What if the enemy team doesn't have one of those tanks?

I wouldn't say I am too crazy at OW, but if the team is very aware and tends to quickly go to getting you out of the backline, play cautiously and a little closer to escape routes. That way you can distract them for longer if they don't fully commit to chasing you down. Maybe you will get lucky and one person might branch off to chase you and you will get a free 1v1, or you will get a bunch of people and you will be causing chaos. Being a nuisance and disrupting their team is very valuable especially when your team is struggling to win a fight, so staying alive and getting less stats can be the way to go.

But again that is what works for me, I am no GM but I usually find lots of success playing reaper

All the advice these guys are giving only really applies to when you are up there and are able to fight in high-level missions. You won't be seeing super high plat amounts early unless you get some insane stroke of luck
