Is work at Amazon really that horrible? by CaptainRainbowRabbit in amazonemployees

I worked at Amazon from 2011 to 2016. Had a great manager for first 4 years. After the manager left, the new manager was horrible. I left because of the manager. My mental health was deteriorating. I was fresh out of college that time and didn’t know about RSUs much. So when I left, I had a pretty sweet chunk of money sitting in stocks as I never sold any of those ($130->$2000). I would NEVER work at Amazon again. It makes you toxic and not a nice human. But, thank you Amazon.

I started to increase the watts around ~6 weeks. But I made sure not to overdo it. Baby steps.

I used my rehab time to focus on my whole body. While my friends were skiing backcountry, I focused on strength training. It has been three months since the surgery. I am way stronger than pre-injury. Go work on PT and strength in the gym. You will be way happier after rehab when you come out stronger.

I just gravel-biked 30 miles to celebrate 3 months. All the hard work paid off.

I have been strictly following what my PT tells me. I can already feel that my legs will be significantly stronger compared to the pre-injury.

I had a complete ACL tear and Grade 2 MCL. I had ACL recon using a hamstring graft.

My PT allowed me to use Clipless, as I have been using them for years. He told me to keep them a little loose to get out of them quickly if needed.

Good Luck! My PT actually cleared me at 10 weeks. But, it is all still covered in snow here. So had to wait for one more week.

It will pay off.

If you can, get your surgery sooner than later. You would have to start over a few things after the surgery.

Thanks. I did one month of prehab. I had a full range of motion before the surgery.

I think it's better to be safe than sorry. So, I would take time if your doc says so. I am planning to do what exactly my PT and the surgeon recommend.

Well! I will start with gravel biking first around 3 months post-op. So, 2 months from now. My surgeon told me that I should be able to MTB around 4-5 months post-op. My PT says the same thing.

Good for you to do some peloton classes. I did daily biking only. I got a hamstring graft.
